iris123
Interesting figures. Have seen that for some Horse Jumping tournament here in Germany this year(same time as the World Cup) they have sold 300,000 tickets and expect the crowd to total 500,000.It is on over the course of a week, but still try adding up 8 or 10 of the top speedway meetings and it comes some way short. Hazzman
Bydgoszcz - 18k OFFICAL attendance defintely but REAL attendance a touch above. Interesting to see that Prague this year was appartently poorly attended but it was a bigger crowd than 2004.
TwoMinuteWarning
Interesting to see that Prague this year was appartently poorly attended but it was a bigger crowd than 2004. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Crowds at Prague have been 1999 11,000 2000 12,000 2001 14,000 2002 12,000 2003 12,000 2004 8,500 2005 10,564 I was at this years' Prague GP, and I would say that their crowds rely a lot on how many Poles come across the border! tarabanko
80cc Youth Gold Trophy Final at Wawrow (Poland) 1,000 (2004 at Eskilstuna : 1,230) Silly that Eskilstuna had a attendance of 1,230 at the 80cc Youth Gold Throphy. I was there, ( timekeeper) and the att could have been 123..

It poured with rain from about 4.00pm and the meeting didn't start till around 10.00pm if you remember. I would think almost no tickets were sold at the gate as almost everyone believed that it could be called off. Say what you like about Ole, he made damn sure it would go ahead. I've also posted these links to speedway list on yahoogroups.
