SCB
My neighbours (and us) received a leaflet in the psot today aout the the GP. A5 sized, shiney paper, nice pictures, few quick fact (80mph?!) Very impressive, seems speedway has finally managed to promote its self properly, had I not been a speedway fan, I'd now know there was a GP in Cardiff on June 3rd and how much it costs. Well Done BSI! (that said, I don't aprove of junk mail )
Matt Davis
Yep we got one too and thought it was a very good way of promoting the event
Steve Shovlar
Just basic marketing. Everyone who has attended the GP in the past and paid in advance by card will have got one, as Benfield will want to get as many of these folk back for next year. Mrs Smith up the road will not have got one if she didn't attend.
Rico
Correct Steve. I last bought tickets for our group 3 years ago I think and I have received their promotional postcard at least twice now. I can't vouch for Mrs Smith though. Deano
Mrs Smith up the road will not have got one if she didn't attend. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> She may have attended though....wasn't smudger in the Grand Prix a few years ago........so she may get one yet. Aunt Bessie might not get one.

Trees
Even I got one, I haven't been since the 2nd year and won't be going again until things change, that'll be about 20 years time! Delete me from the list BSI!
Rico
Bah humbug Trees I take it you'll be refusing to acknowledge the existence of the BSI promoted Wackies in the Elite League then. Hopefully by the end of the season your will start to see JP and his company in a better light. I see interesting times ahead. Rico
Trees
Hopefully by the end of the season you will start to see JP and his company in a better light. Nothing would please me more, apart from being able to turn the clock back 10 days and changing things, than JP working WITH British Speedway for the good of OUR sport in THIS country! Chris H
Back to the topic of the fliers!! Whats the point of sending them to people who know about the GP? They should be going to the 'Mrs Smiths' that don't know about speedway.
SCB
They should be going to the 'Mrs Smiths' that don't know about speedway. Which if you read, is what has happened. They were not to know that my friend had been to Cardiff. I could go and ask some random neighbours if they have had one too if you like? Just to make sure?! robpeasley
SCB, Are you local to Newport? If so, I would guess the BSI would have targetted your area specifically, as an area close to Cardiff where there is an interest in Speedway. All the best Rob
