Some months has now passed since the terrible day on the Fjelsted track. Kenneth is in good spirit a little restless and quite impatient waiting for the new season . . . . .

At the moment Kenneth is progressing very well. The physiotherapist is satisfied with the healing and the build up of the muscles in the leg is progressing very well too.

One reason of the progress might be that Kenneth has now been allowed driving a car for some weeks which is giving him some training on the leg operating the clutch at the shifting of gears.

These improvements that Kenneth has made at this state is giving the team an almost 100 % believe in that Kenneth will be back on the tracks at the beginning of the season. Completely fit for racing.

At this moment it is not certain that the national team will be gathered for practicing in February as usual. No matter what, Kenneth will be going for a practicing stay somewhere in the south before the season opening.

Thank you for posting that Garf. It certainly is good news. I hope to see him back at Kirky Lane on 6 March. I'm sure Ian Thoams wants him there.

Please give Kenneth my greetings and best wishes for for a rapid return to track action.

Ron.

Congratulations to Kenneth. We'd feared he might be out for an entire season, so this news is most welcome. Get well soon - we look forward to seeing you back in Aces colours, hopefully in March. :approve:

Kenneth definitely was at the dinner dance!!! I spoke to him and he said the same to me as he did to most people - he doesn't blame Pedersen for his accident. Fair play to him though, I mean he was the one there! There could be a little countrymanship going on there but hey whatever!! All we want is for Kenneth to get better. He told me he want to be a bit more energetic just after Christmas and properly practicing by February - in plenty of time for us in March. He also said he's bored stiff at home!!

And for everyone on the Belle Vue website that loves Kenneth to bits, I told him to ignore all the rubbish that some small minded cowardly people post, and said we (the majority) want him back next year more than anything. I think he believed me but he did say that he doesn't read the internet anymore, thats what those sad acts have done to him. Its horrid.

Anyway rant over, moving onto a nicer topic - I was chatting to Tony Mole at the roulette table of all places and I asked him if Kenneth was next and he seemed pretty positive that he would be. Great news there but I won't celebrate till it's a done deal!

Thanks for the update. Can't wait to see Ken back in action for the Aces next year. Sure Ian will be plotting on the quiet and we'll be none the worse for our traumatic end to the season. :P

15/11 Status of the recovery.

Kenneth was visitting the hospital for a control of the recovery of the injuries in his leg.

The specialists were satisfied with the recovery of the leg, and a little impressed of the speed as it seemed to be ahead of usual time. Linaments and muscles do need some more, and hard, work though, but there is no doubt that Kenneth will be back on the tracks in the 2006 season.

Bit concerned that Kenneth could be doing too much! You have seen what happens to people like Andreas Jonsson. And after a big injury I thought he'd take it easy

Delighted that he is doing so well, but like you I think it will be counterproductive to ride in four leagues. I remember vividly the effect it had on Tomasz Jedrzejak and wouldn't want the same to happen to Kenneth, particularly after a serious injury. We want him to stay fit and improve!

Don't think there will be too many meetings in the Danish League even if another team replaces Fredericia.A lot of riders only do a few meetings in the Polish league as well,so it might not be too much to worry about.Wish him all the best on his recovery.

Hope you're right, Iris. I'd sooner he rode in no more than, say, two leagues - but that's not very likely in the current circumstances.
