thesting
Has anyone any ideas of prices? Someone said something about £1 but I think that was the race night! A little strange to have prices so low when so many people want to be there!

thesting
AFAIK no prices have been announced as yet but they had better get a move on. It's only a week and 2 days away!
Suzi
I saw the prices somewhere but I can't find them now. £15 for adults rings a bell.
thesting
Thanks for that Suzi! Hope that's about right .. means I can go on my own and get some peace!
Phil
So here it is. The committee has completed the draw, and the line up, in riding order is as follows: Sean Wilson James Wright Ryan Sullivan Antonio Lindback Simon Stead Andre Compton David Norris Nicki Pedersen Gary Havelock Lewis Bridger Billy Hamill Joe Screen Steve Johnston Jason Crump Hans Andersen Scott Nicholls There are some incredible races in there. Just look at heat 2! That should set the pulses racing. There won’t be an easy ride for anyone, and I challenge anyone to pick a winner. Everything is really taking shape, and even I’m getting nervous now. That must be a good sign. Don’t miss it. It really is going to be the Sean CRACKER proudly sponsored by C&D Express Transport and A&E Transport. I’ve another update tomorrow night when I’ll be naming the guys who have very kindly agreed to be the numbers 17 and 18 on the night. Cheers Sean http://www.seanwilsonracing.co.uk/news.html
Phil
Here is a sample race card for you to see who meets who and when! (mind you every race will be a Cracker ) Please Support 'The Sean Cracker' and buy a Programme on the night. You are unlikely to see this kind of line up again at Sheffield and after all we are Celebrating Sean Wilson's 20 Years in Speedway!

DanTheMan
im looking forward to this, one question i've never known, even though sheffield is my home track. why is the back straight not open all the time, all i heard ages ago was due to health and safety reasons, yet on rare occasions, like this night, and the world cup( which i coundn't attend), they open the back straight at great expense (according to the club), so why is this ? Matousek
aparently its coz after the 1989 hillsborough disaster, they could catch fire i got told , hmmm all these years on!
DanTheMan
aparently its coz after the 1989 hillsborough disaster, they could catch fire i got told , hmmm all these years on! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> if its due to a fire hazard they wouldnt be allowed to open any time, im guessing it maybe due to not having any exits and entrances, so after the bradford disaster, they clamped down on stands being open without correct addequate exits (just guessing here). so do they provide extra entrances and exits for the back straight when its open, could this be the extra expense the club talk about ? RLDTIGER
I think if there was a fire the closest exit would be the gate at the side (near the training track enterance) that is were the ambulance gets in and out. The only other way i can think of is going all the way back round to the front of the stadium.
Phil
The back straight was upgraded to meet the H&S requirements when the world cup was on. It has not been open since (or maybe once for a PLRC?) because it has not been needed. I would imagine extra staff / stewards have to be employed for the back straight to be open. The SAINT
or round the back of the bar (sportsman tavern) and into the riders' car park-think you can still get round there.
spin king
Does anybody want to try and predict a winner, cause I cannot, I keep hedging between Simon Stead and Jason Crump.
tyke
After watching both last night there's only one winner.I know Steady back on old ground but just didn't have the speed of Crump last night. Will be a fantastic night tho, looking forward to it and have even for the first time in my life has done some sponsorship .
