Rico
Rybnik in e-liga...I wonder if they'll even win a single meeting. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Siema Tommy. Is this news regarding Rybnik definite ? If so, who do they have in their squad and is there anyone else they can sign to bolster the ranks in Ekstraliga. tommy
Siema Tommy. Is this news regarding Rybnik definite ? If so, who do they have in their squad and is there anyone else they can sign to bolster the ranks in Ekstraliga. Rico <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes it is Rico, ZG could appeal the decision but choose no to. Rybnik squad: Renat Gafurov Chris Harris Denis Gizatulin Rafał Szombierski Łukasz Romanek Roman Povazhny Roman Chromik Wojciech Druchniak Patryk Pawlaszczyk Rafał Fleger Michał Mitko Paweł Paliga They can sign pretty much anyone who is still available on the transfer market (deadline is tomorrow). From GP only Lindback is available but doesn't want to rider in Poland this season. According to sportowefakty.pl Rybnik in interested in Smolinski. HenryW
As discussed with Mateusz on Saturday night, their move to the EL has already got me thinking about a quick trip out to watch them in action at some point this season...It seems like the easiest way to see how Denis gets on against serious opposition. HenryW
Martin Smolinski to Rybink So, has it been confirmed that this is the only addition that Rybnik have made to their squad since being elevated to the EL? Things don't look good for a competitive 8th team in the league this year. You just have to hope that Gafurov and Gizatullin can bring their Russian form to the Polish league! Subedei
Things don't look good for a competitive 8th team in the league this year. In saying that - and hoping that tommy and ZKZ Kitten will forgive me - there wasn't really a competitive 8th team in the league last year. Zielona Gora took some fearful tankings and only collected something like 4 points.

So, has it been confirmed that this is the only addition that Rybnik have made to their squad since being elevated to the EL? Rybnik signed Zbigniew Czerwinski. Other transfers: Krzysztof Stojanowski - Opole Fritz Wallner - Opole Sebastian Truminski, Andy Smith and Lenar Nigmatzyanov - Torun Tomasz Cieslewicz - Gniezno Lines-up for 2006: E-liga 1st Div. 2nd Div. source: sportowefakty.pl Edited February 1, 2006 by tommy
Anders
Other transfers: Krzysztof Stojanowski - Opole Fritz Wallner - Opole <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Opole are looking really strong with Stojanowski, Flis and Piatraszko among others, a team with strength in depth. They must be favourites in Liga 2 even though they will be pushed by Poznan with a top duo like Huszcza and Skornicki. Looking at the Liga 2 squads, I see that Krakow hasn´t signed anyone yet. How are things going for them? Didn´t they pull out mid-season last year or the year before? Will they pull out once again? Sebastian Truminski, Andy Smith and Lenar Nigmatzyanov - Torun <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who!? It seems like a Russian name....Jeez, I really need to study the Russian speedway scene better than I have done previously. In Liga 1, what about Gdansk? Are there any quality riders left to sign so they´ll be able to compete in Liga 1 or will they drop down another league, to Liga 2?

If they want to take part in the 2006 campaign they'll have to "borrow" unwanted riders from other clubs. Gdansk future is still uncertain , who knows if they'll even take part in 2nd Div. iris123
I thought the future of Rowne was also in doubt.Vladimir Trofimov had a lot of trouble last year and i thought there was a big question mark over the tracks future

Given their current roster it doesn't look great. Rico
