Lee Richardson

You would have thought that when discussing who should be in the series to decide the World Champ that such knowledge would be the minimum requirement. We ain't trying to find the line up for the Elite league riders championship :D  :P

Edit:

Also considering there isn't an Elite league track on the GP circuit, but Polish and Swedish league tracks it might be more important to look at form there!

Right. I'll limit my posting to the Top section of the board from now on then as I obviously haven't swotted enough to qualify to have a valid opinion on anything important like the Grand Prix series...... :(

I really wish Phil would update the forum rules to include stuff like this.......;)

Don't get me started on you with that comment Iris!  :o What makes you think you men talk any more sense on here anyway?  It's my experience you're the source of all the bitching and aggravation anyway.  :P

Hang on Rabbit.....we are seriously thinking of bothering to argue with a BLOKE called IRIS?!!! :P;)

And they ARE the source of all the bitching and aggravation.....even when it's girls doing it they've been wound up by men first to put them in a bad mood!

You could always read my G P Winners, Facts and Figures thread Robyn1972.

Thank you for that - I just have!!

Iris123 - to underline my opinion that Mr Richardson is as worthy of a place in the GP as Mr Nicholls, please refer to points 24 through 28 in the above mentioned thread! :approve:

I have virtually zero knowledge of the averages in the Swedish, Damish or Polish leagues though, so I am using the only tool I have to hand!

Lee's average in Sweden is 7.54 which puts him at #20 in the national averages, and he is not in the top 25 in Poland.

I thought he was 17th on 7.99, 16th if you don't include Billy Hamill who does not want to ride in the GP's, 15th if you also remove the injured Michael Max.

Right then.  Can the moany <beep>s name me 7 riders who are better than him that did NOt finish in the top 8 of the GP series?  IF they can name me 7 rider who ARE better than him (other than the top 8 GP riders), then we might be able to continue with the "Lee Richardson does not deserve a Gp place" bitching.

This should be intresting as I don't think there are 7 riders who are better than him but, I'll give people a chance.

bold are better, others same standard or deserve a chance more than Lee.

Jaroslaw Hampel

Hans Andersen

Peter Karlsson

Mikael Max

Rune Holta

Piotr Protasiewicz

Scott Nicholls

Krzysztof Kasprzak

Kenneth Bjerre

Fredrik Lindgren

Mark Loram

Billy Hamill

Matej Zagar

Janusz Kolodiej

Neils K Iversen

Charlie Gjedde

they are the TOP BRITS we support our own not other countries

So let Scott Nicholls go in and give Loram or Stead a season if we have to have 2.

of course he deserves to be in there.

look at what he did in the world cup and in the second polish grand prix

Yes, he did well in those two didnt he !

Polish GP, wasnt that where he just scrapped into the Semi-Finals and ended up runner up. This would be a bit like Eastbourne losing heat 30 in the play-off final this year.

we have a british GP therefore we need at least A BRITISH rider in the GP otherwise people wont go..... The british league is one if not THE biggest so does need to have brits in it

A BRITISH rider. . . . Scott Nicholls. . job done

1..TR

2..JC

3..Leigh Adams

4..Nicki P

5..G Hancock

6..BP

7..TG

8..Andreas Jonsson

9..Jaroslaw Hampel

10..Antonio Lindback

11..Kenneth Bjerre

12..Krzysztof Kasprzak

13..Janusz Kolodziej

14..Matej Zagar

15..Lukas Dryml

Peter Karlsson, Mikael Max, Fredrik Lindgren, Hans Andersen, Piotr Protasiewicz, Charlie Gjedde, Neils K Iversen etc all missing from your list, all should be somewhere above 15..Lukas Dryml

I can't believe that you think Mark is the same standard as Lee! I would still put Mark as bold !

Also, I would give Mark a chance at this new format, we all know what Mark is capable of and with an injury free season he can prove his place!

Surely BSI and the others know this  then again maybe not

are you joking, lee is bad but to put loram in would be worse, a great rider but past his best and no longer good enough for the GP. same as putting mansell back in F1, he would come nowhere. FACT.

The fact remains that at Bydgoszcz Lee Richardson turned 8 points into 20 points, while at Prague Scott Nicholls turned 13 points into, well, 13 points, and at Lonigo Nicholls transformed 6 points into, well, 6 points. If anything, Lee Richardson deserves a place ahead of Nicholls.

League form isn't the be all and end all of it. Hampel was pretty ordinary in the leagues this season, but he finished runner-up twice in GPs. That's the indicator. And every indictation is that Nicholls can't produce at the business end of a GP.

Thanks for that one! Best laugh I have had for a while!

You seriously (I mean "Seriously") think that Loram is not good enough for the GP's?
