Scotty - Eagles
Tony Rickardsson will hang up his leathers after the 2006 season!! It will be a great loss to the sport seeing the man that has made the world championship his own. This is not a decision that has come overnight. Speedway has been a Big part of my life for a very long time. I owe a lot to this sport and there have been many memorable moments that will always stay with me. Now it is time for me to proceed. - This is one of the most important decisions that I have taken during my career but I feel confident that I am doing the right thing. It is quiet easy to explain how I came to this decision. I simply want to move on. - I don’t know what future has in store for me, but it is a thrilling thought to go on in life without speedway as a main occupation. 2006 will very much be the same as 2005. I will always do my very best! - Tony intends to have pretty much the same schedule as 2005: GP, the Swedish and Polish League and some meetings at the beginning of the English League. There will also be three farewell meetings: England, Poland and Sweden, called The ”Final Lap”. We would like to inform you later where and when these meetings will take place. Taken from Rickardsson Racings homepage. A great loss for speedway overall, but the day Tony will quit has beeing coming. I think he will go into car racing instead. Just wish him luck what he does in life.

Lanzilla
Could be a possibility seeing as you haven't got a number one for next season.

Cliv Clav
He's much much too good to leave the sport. It will be a huge loss to speedway to lose him. He could go on to win at least a few more World titles. Thanks for being a Hammer for a while though Tony!
Lezaw
I hope TR will be able to finish like the greatest sportmans in history. As world champion. This situation reminds me Tommy Knudsen and Hans Nielsen casus. Tony is speedway Rocky Marciano. I wish him all best, hoping that injuries won't cross his way in 2007. I'm very pleased that I was able to see his ride so many times in my life. Tony is definitely Ivan Mauger of our times. He helped speedway to make 100 steps forward. Wish him all best!
