SCB
Scott Nicholls, Lee Richardson, Jarek Hampel and Antonio Lindback. 3 more to be confirmed.
tomhaines
Not happy on that! How can Lee be one of the ones which they all agreed with quickly and easily! I do despair!
SCB
Commercial reasons. They also want 3 Poles for commercial reasons!
tomhaines
Only commercial reason for Lee is Meridian Lifts. Nothing to do with Cardiff because British fans will support their teams riders as well as the Brits. Unlike the Poles who passionatly support their countries riders. Will the 3rd Pole be the Coin Tossing Champion, Kolodziej, Protasiewicz or Holta ( )

Chivs
Nicholls, Lindback, Hampel - nothing wrong with those decisions But when i go to any GP - the brits get my support first. Why the hell are British fans moaning at the fact that Lee Richardson has been given a wild card for next year. There is no other Brit who is even close to getting the shout for the GP. Even if it is for commercial reasons - so what. Just support the British lads in the GP - Lee has a much better chance of winning one than say Steady, Bomber, floppy or Loramski . Maddas69
Doh! Did I miss one? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Let`s face it. Richardson has got the nod because he is British, as there are no other Brits that are better than him. If BSI had been a Polish company Richardson would have been out. Subedei
I can't see how they can defenestrate Andersen now. They might as well have named him. He finished above Richardson. He's won a GP. If Richardson's in, he's got to be in as well. This just devalues the series. Nicholls and Richardson have been rewarded for serial failure. And, you know what? They'll fail next season as well. They're just not good enough. But they're British and so's BSI, chauvinism gone mad. Tactical Sub
For once BSI and co get it right. Nicholls finished high enough up the standings to merit another crack (and I'm one of his biggest critics). Richardson, as one of the top riders in the World Cup (the top non-Pole) and having put an exciting second place in a GP in also was a shoo-in. Realism not chauvinism from BSI - well done. (Would still prefer a qualifying meet though !)

Richardson is a lucky boy to still be in the series.
HenryW
Absolutely no surprise in the 4 riders named tonight. I had them picked as "bankers" after the Bydgoszcz GP. Three of them were certs before that meeting and on that night Lee clinched his place. He had a great World Cup and then followed it up with a 2nd place in Bydoszcz, a 2nd place that is as good as a win....we all know Tomek will win in Bydgoszcz You also have to remember that Lee had a bad start to the season due to mechanical woes, not to mention so much illness during the season. The last 3 places are the ones that will be interesting. On form from the 3 big leagues, Holta should be the first pick of the current non-GP riders. Hans N deserves a place in my book, but if he is in, you need to make a choice between Zagar, PePe, Kasprzak and Kolodziej (who apparently has Ole's support) for a last place. That makes things look a little dodgy for Hans, until you consider that he is a Dane and BSI have cash invested in the Danish GP....in which case Holta's place looks dodgy, and if he missed out it would be absolutely criminal in my view. Will be very interesting to see who makes the cut. Edited September 19, 2005 by HenryW
Subedei
Did Olsen not say the third Polish place was between Kasprzak, Kolodziej and Protasiewicz? That would, effectively, rule Holta out. He can't suddenly be Norwegian again.

Not sure if this is an accurate quote from Ole or not, but I'm sure he considers Rune as Norwegian, just as most speedway fans do....so I wouldn't rule Rune out just yet. He certainly deserves it based on his Polish and Swedish league form this year. I'm also pretty sure that Rune could, in fact, become a Norwegian again within a few days if he wanted

Subedei
Actually, I just checked, and it seems Olsen said the three choices were Walasek, Kolodziej and Protasiewicz.
Chivs
If that is the case Subedei then it has to be Pepe Walasek is not a Grand Prix rider and will never reach that sort of level again.
Subedei
I think it'll be Kolodziej personally. And Olsen reportedly said before Kasprzak was crowned "make believe" under 21 champ. But Kolodziej is a better rider than Kasprzak.
T.N.T.
ANDERSEN - KASPRZAK - ZAGAR will be the last three now Richardson has got in. No PK or Loram
DartfordHammer
You can't be surprised at no Loram surely? He hasn't been up to that standard this year.
