Grachan
Hearty congratulations to Leigh 'World Number 3 and top of the EL averages' Adams. Not bad for a below par year, is it?

Gemini
He will be able to get some new hats made now..... and you can all buy one. Bit annoying that. We can all see his sponsor's name without him keep pointing at it every time the camera crew comes near him. I can't remember any other rider continually doing this. Mind you at least he sees them coming most of the time. Obviously not when Sophie Blake headed his way for an interview recently, which had to be delayed because he was too busy picking his nose. Wolfgang Amadeus
At last ............ he's achieved his rostrum place...<{POST_SNAPBACK}> With a little help from Jason Crump in the semi-final.
HenryW
With a little help from Jason Crump in the semi-final. Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that. Great bit of "team riding" from Jason to make sure that Leigh got his rostrum placing. I actually think that if Leigh had made a mess of the last half lap, Jason would have pulled out to let him have the 2nd place, he certainly spent enough time checking on Leigh to make sure he was still right behind him! Trees
Yes Jason was keeping an eye out but Leigh did it under his own steam, no way would Nicholls have passed him at any point!
HenryW
He was given the best gate position by Jason as well, though.
richard
and why not you look after your mates fair play to jason he certainly wasnt going to do nicky any favours great piece of riding it looked like on tv they was in each others pits a lot but you have to say though it would of took one of them to break down for scott to overtake he was nowhere near them
Trees
Oright HenryW aka The Fonz ............... yes Jason did what he could to help Leigh on his way, and why not, isn't that what fellow compatriots are all about
Ozyace
I don't think Leigh and Jason are as close as you might think, respected rivals yes, best buddies no. It would be nice to think all the Aussie boy's were best bud's but i'm afraid it's not. I might just add to that though, it's getting better. I've had to edit my post after reading what was above. Definatley the Pedersen factor. Edited September 12, 2005 by Ozyace
Wolfgang Amadeus
I expect you're right about the Pedersen factor, Ozyace. I can't help wondering if there would have been as much tolerance of the collusion between Crump and Adams if it had denied third place to a British rider. HenryW
Jason did what he could to help Leigh on his way, and why not, isn't that what fellow compatriots are all about Just to clarify, at no point did I say that there was any reason why Jason shouldn't help him. I actually thought that Jason deserved a lot of credit for what he appeared to do for Leigh, but it was completely missed by everyone at Sky! It would be nice to think all the Aussie boy's were best bud's but i'm afraid it's not. Are they not related through Neil Street? Anyway, Hampel looked after Gollob in their last qualification heat at Cardiff and Gollob's looked out for other Poles during GPs (nicely moving Ales Dryml wide to let Hampel through at Bydgoszcz last season). I thought Crump might've made more of an effort on Adams' behalf during the semi-final at Hamar last season. But I guess his mind was elsewhere that night.
