I was looking at the excellent Seven Men for One Season book again the other day and was wondering what happened to Mike former Hackney, Ipswich and Kings Lynn promoter. Anyone know?

 

Wonder if we will see him pop up as a promoter at a new track in the future.

Mike is now a man of leisure! He can be seen regularly at Ipswich, King’s Lynn and Mildenhall with his son who is really into speedway. Mike had hoped to come along to the Hackney reunion but was on holiday in Sweden when we held it!

I saw the band play at Lol Hare's benefit dinner in Ipswich and they are very good. There's loads of them

who must be, what, 11 or so now? Talk about time flying! Glad Mike's still about and enjoying his speedway, it was a loss to speedway when he stopped promoting, in my view.
