SpeedwayTShirts
Does anyone know the date for next years British Speedway GP? and also Prague if possible? Cheers Bart
Robyn1972
Judging by the scarcity of hotel rooms in Cardiff, I think everyone has assumed that the British GP will be the "normal" weekend - 10th June.
jimmy smith
Judging by the scarcity of hotel rooms in Cardiff, I think everyone has assumed that the British GP will be the "normal" weekend - 10th June. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was told by the hotel i use at this years GP scarcity for next year has been caused by a block booking by travel companies as Welsh RFU are due to have a rugby event on one of the 3 weekends around 10th June time but at that time were undecided. They said they would know by end of November. Also depending on was happening with regard to FA cup final played a part. I too would expect 10th June to be about right. youngy105
The FA Cup Final will be played at Wembley next year and is in May anyway so doesn't interfere with the GP. I'd assume it would be around the same time as this year give or take a week either side.
Chivs
I had heard a small rumour that the Cardiff GP might be moved to later in the season, cos it has a roof and there is no doubt it can go ahead. Makes sense really
tanya
The English FA have reserved the Millennium Stadium just in case the New Wembley is not ready. I would assume that the rugby league may have taken the same action.

Gemini
i would say the dates will be anounced about december time, if my merory serves me right.... In the case of Cardiff I'm afraid it doesn't. Their tickets were on sale last August for the 2005 G.P. I know because I bought mine then. Hoping it is June 10th because like a lot of people I've already booked the same hotel for that weekend.

Just watch it move to the end of August now!

Guest nobby nomad
Question for you all. If Poland and Sweden can have two Grand Prix then why not Britain - perhaps an English one in Wimbledon in mid summer and the Brtish one Cardiff in October. Make the last one double points to ensure it is the decider !!

Problem is that most of the regular speedway stadia in the country simply wouldn't be big enough to hold a GP crowd.
