I've moved to the Live Updates site Rico.

I do my little updates there and then transfer them across to here to save bandwidth. But, on this occasion, I'll not need to. I started when this site was down a while ago and have just continued.

I'm expecting a big Tarnow win over Torun. But it seems TR prefers racing in a car to racing for Tarnow today.

 

Great performance from Pepe and a huge 5-1 for Bydgoszcz from Pepe and AJ in heat 15.

 

As you say, a huge 5-1 for Bydgoszcz in Ht 15. Certainly puts them in the driving seat. But Jonsson and Sawina a bit subdued. Maybe the lay-off between the end of the regular season and the play-offs affected them. They were certainly in fine form towards the end of the regular season.

A very good result for Bydgoszcz We're half in the final but obviously everything's still possible. I can't wait 4th September - counting to 48 points...

 

PePe was absolutely superb tonight, only one missed point. Sawina very slow, not that rider who scored 15 points last time in Czestochowa. AJ a bit disappointing at the beginning but heat 15 - that was it

 

Bydgoszcz -vs- Gollob's Tarnow in the final of 2005 Ekstraliga ?? We'll see....

And so it's time for the shootout at the Ekstra Liga's last chance saloon between Zielona Gora and Gdansk. Whoever loses this two-legged encounter departs the Ekstra Liga. And you have to say that Zielona Gora hardly deserve to remain in the top flight, after managing a mere 4 points in the regular season. But you never know, do you? They'll have to get a decent lead to take to Gdansk in a couple of weeks time.

The first of the play-off meetings scheduled for 21 August, 2005, sees Ryan Sullivan's Czestochowa host Andreas Jonsson's Bydgoszcz. And the regular season doesn't provide much comfort for Czestochowa, as Bydgoszcz won both meetings (50-40 at Bydgoszcz and 46-44 at Czestochowa). And Bydgoszcz finished the season in mightly impressive form. Czestochowa will need a decent lead to take to the Polonia stadium, but can they get one?

The second of the play-off meetings scheduled for 21 August, 2005, sees current world champ Jason Crump's Torun facing the man set to depose him Tony Rickardsson's Tarnow. The regular season's results would suggest this could be a real "cracker" as the aggregate score for the league meetings between the sides this season was 91-89 in favour of Torun. Tarnow won their home fixture 49-41, while Torun won on their home track by 50-40.
