And I'm still hoping that something stops Rickardsson riding in the GP

does it actually matter about Rickardsson he is already World Champion just not officially. :(

This how I would like it:

1.Jarek Hampel

2.Tomasz Gollob

3.Piotr Protasieweicz

4.Hans Andersen

(all ipswich riders/assets :D )

This is my Prediction:

1.Tomasz Gollob

2.Jarek Hampel

3.Jason Crump

4.Tony Rickardsson

IS it def on .on sat,as ive heard theres been masive floods in poland, was bydgoszcz affected ? Hope not.

Maybe a small flood in the south, near the border with Czech Rep. but not here. Don't worry :)

If there was any flood by the Wisla river, the first ones to be flooded are Torun ;)

I'm from Bydgoszcz and Torun have been our biggest enemy since ever. A holy war :) Like Liverpool FC & Man U, Zielona Gora & Leszno etc.. ;)

But I'm not one of those fanatics/hools who fight aroud the stadium and my taunts about Torun are usually only jokes  I even know some normal people from Torun  and plan to study in Torun :o

Gollob has got an obvious chance here, though maybe not as good as last year when he rode there, and conducted the track preperations!

Rickardsson, in my view, is unlikely to reach the final, mathematically he could be declared the 2005 champion after one ride or so, and his concentration may wander somewhat!

Crump is in great form right now, and I would expect him to reach the final.

Apart form Crump though, this really could be a Polish dominated GP.

My top three are:

1st Gollob

2nd Crump

3rd Hampel

In fact, 2004 was Gollob's first season away from Bydgoszcz, so he didn't ride there in the Ekstra Liga, except when Tarnow visited. I'd imagine that Gollob will have the final say on track preparation this time around as well, regardless of what Ole Olsen wants.

And Tony Steele, the referee who favoured Gollob in decisions at least twice last season, will be in the hot seat again.

My feeling is that Leigh Adams will come out on top >>> he's in the testimonial mood!!!

Where abouts exactly in the south are these floods???

Is it right that the Polish competitors should be allowed additional practice on the track - if this is happening? Does this not give them an unfair advantage? It sometimes seems to me that international speedway is loaded in favour of the Poles.

I shan't make a prediction as such, but I really would like to see Mr Crump delay the coronation of Mr Rickardson even further. 'Twould be good to keep the a little suspense running, even if it is artificial!

I don't see anything wrong in this as usually the track differ from that which they practiced on, e.g. one week before the GP.

And who bans foreign riders to practice at their home tracks before GPs in their countries? For example Swedes to have more practice at Eskilstuna or Malilla. I'd not mind it.

Well, of course I don't mean here GB or Denmark because of their make-up tracks in Cardiff and Copenhagen.

It sometimes seems to me that international speedway is loaded in favour of the Poles.

Yes, sometimes it is but that's because it's all about the money. For many years (especially in Gollob's best years) Polish fans have been the main boost of money for BSI and generally GP organizers. Maybe now it has been changing a bit but still lots of white-red fans follow their riders, mainly here in Poland (Bydgoszcz and Wroclaw GPs) and at Prague GP as well.

Thanks for the link Subedei >>> the wife is working in southern poland at the moment >>> 2 miles from the slovak border >>> doesn't seem that floods are affecting that area though

Thanks again
