npw
Some of you may know about this website but for those of you who don't www.britishpathe.com is well worth a look. Put speedway into their search engine & some interesting historical clips can be downloaded for free. See England v Australia test matches from the 1930's, see Bill Kitchen on a rocket bike, see the last meeting at Custom House, see Hackney pre-season training 1968, see World Finals from the 1960's, Rye House in the 1940's, White City training, Belle Vue 1942.........you get the idea. The site is a bit tiresome in that you have to "buy" free clips & go through endless screens to get to your download but the end result is worth waiting for. Pathe made films up to about 1970 & have over 100 years of history on film. Search their site for more than just speedway, it's extensive. Norbold, you are going to love this! Grachan
Yeah, I found this in the past. There's some good stuff - my favourite being the marvellous charisma of 'Tony Croomes - Speedway rider'. Have you managed to download the White City one? I've tried a few times but just seem to get a blank .HTML page.
