New Track In Croatia ...

Recommended Posts

The new track at Gorican stages a round of the Tri-Nations Championship tonight.

The stadium looks excellent, judging by the photos posted on the Slovenian Forum here

Indeed, it does look superb. Marvellous to have a very wealthy man plough his money into building a speedway stadium. Wishing the Croatians every success in this new venture. I wouldn't be surprised to see this venue hosting big meetings in the future.

And I can tell you that speedway nut / GP referee Tony Steele has travelled out there to be at the meeting!

The venue looks amazing, I guess within a year or two Gorican will replace the SGP in Krsko . I'm sure that with Pavlic as a wild card the organizers could draw large crowds.

from what i can understand the stadium has a crowd capacity of 5100 (2100 seats, 3000 standing), 320m long. An 80cc track (150m long). hopefully I translated everything correctly? Can our Croatian friends confirm? :)

And of course his daughter Darija is a member of this forum. It looks wonderful. A possible GP stadium in the future?

Well, here's hoping for a big score from Jurica tonight, it would round off what must be a wonderful day for the whole Pavlic family.

Awesome looking stadium, yet another reason to visit Croatia in the future, along with being able to get a cheap place to stay courtesy of a work colleague and being able to speak some Croatian.

Darija or Tomaz,

How do you get there  Is there a train station nearby, bus, etc?

I've done a little research and, yes, there's a train station in Donji Kraljevec, which is the nearest city to the place where the stadium is situated (basically in the middle of the field). Donji Kraljevec can be reached from Slovenia (via Ormoz border and Cakovec) and also from Croatian capital Zagreb
