Well Done Trick

Recommended Posts

Well done to TRick to make it almost impossible to now be caught. A third in the next one and it's his. Shame the weather messed up a GP which seemed quite flat.

So well done to Crump who lives as world champ for another couple of weeks.

You seen many better meetings this seaosn then Steve ?

Or was it just because your God didn't win ?

I know I'm not Steve but can I answer this one please?

Answer to Question 1:-

Yes loads of meetings a lot more exciting that this, some poor decisions from the referee inc. the race where the tapes were slower one end just after they hadn't worked properly. Some really good racing with some excellent passes but even I said in the updates forum I thought the meeting was a bit flat (hence the vodka flowing) compared to others.

Answer to Question 2:-

Yep me too, I'm gutted that "God" as you put it didn't win (only for the sake of #2 son who incidently fell asleep halfway through, so what does that tell you about the meeting) yet it does makes the next meeting more appealing to watch seeing as it's not quite sewn up but by the end of the next GP it could well be :approve:

Scottie Nicks rode his steel shoe off and it was nice to see his regular mechanics with him for the GP. Unfortunately it's always the best us Brits can do.... the semis, never mind there's always next time (a quote we are getting used to :P )

Trick didn't look at the races tonight, so a third was a pretty good result. Referee was terrible, as was Rico after his first ride.

Well done to the track staff to produce the quality of racing given the state of the track 30 mins before the start, a few tracks over here could learn a thing or to! Plenty of passing on a track with a reputation for very little.

Couldn't decide whether the ginger whinger was doing a Superman or John Travolta impression when he crossed the line.

Shazzy - I thought that was the best GP yet racing wise. Ok the ref didn't help matters but I still enjoyed the racing.

Just thought the meeting was lacking something, yes there was some excellent racing but I wouldn't say it was the best GP so far.

Yeah, 3rd, pretty good :P How many riders would give their right arm for a 3rd? Let be fair, at one point, he looked destined to be back home in bed by the time the final was over he looked so bad so 3rd was a good result. It's hard to believe this was TR's worst GP this season!

Personally, I have enjoyed this season GP's and I thought this was one of the better ones. The last few heats were brilliant, the Hans vs Lindback "fight" was good, Nick vs Tomasz was good until Tomasz threw the bike down, Crump and Gollob was another good 'un.

Steve, TR only needs 4 points, so 3rd place is far more than he needs. I think by his 2nd heat he will be World Champion and I don't think it's unfair to expect him to finish in the top 3 again, if he can look so average in a GP but still get 3rd, you have to fancy him to be on a high next GP by the time he wins the title that he'll be unbeatable.

Agree with the first one.

Definately agree with the Second.

As for the Third. :lol::lol:

When referees/umpires in any sport have the routine medical as part of their basic training a surgeon inserts a graduated scalpel at right angles into the candidates skin. This is to ascertain whether the skin is of the required minimum thickness. Some applicants give a higher than average reading.

It is generally thought by the various governing bodies in the sporting world that the latter class of applicants make the better officials. Sports enthusiasts have been known to disagree with this assessment. The more extreme members of the fraternity can often be heard expressing their technical opinion of genealogical status of the officials antecedents in a somewhat robust fashion.

This can add to the entertainment value of an otherwise lacklustre contest!
