superjoe
Well done to the Poles and Rune Holta, thoroughly deserved winners although it was because of home track advantage. Is it just me or are the start tarts tonight a bit ropey? Edited August 6, 2005 by superjoe
Undercover Elephant
Well said Rico, you guys have done us proud and battled on through to the end.
Arthur Daley
WELL SAID STEVE!! I want to win something, I'm fed up of supporting the team that comes last all the time, be it Team GB or Newport! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well do what Runa Holta did - change teams!! SCB
I'd prefer to support MY teams/country. Just don't tell me to be proud when we have a couple of riders who have let us down. I'm proud of Richardson and Stead. Once again Nicholls fails to deliver, no doubt he is still the blus eyed boy, red light last year and now this year just naff! Cornishman
Pearson just said on commentary that GB pride was intact!!! WTF!!! GB should have pride at winning, not coming LAST typical British attitude ... 'jolly good show, it's the taking part that counts' what a complete load of crap that attitiude is ... why can't the British have a bloody good look at themselves and have the attitiude of winners, not also-rans. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Agreed great move by scotty cutting up hans in that last race. remember me hans, im the guy you cost the world cup last year
Shortcrust
Mighty well done to the Polish boys, worthy winners on the night. Well fought second to the Swedes without much of a contribution from the World Champion elect . Very happy to see the Danes on the podium even if it was only to collect the bronze . Maybe the British team left their inspiration back on the riverbank with Floppy and Havvy.

Loram should have been in for Screen <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Spot on Steve! Can I start the 'Steve Hone for GB Team Manager' thread now?!!!!! Richspeedway
I think the GB team for next year could be Scotty, Rico, Greg Hancock, TR, Lindback and Gollob. Well if Poles get away with it lets go for it
Subedei
Team G.B in the same role that the Germans and Czechs played ?? Cant see them getting any less than 30 points myself ! Sadly, trickydicky, they did get less than 30. But they weren't the only German-Czech Republic team tonight. The Danes and Swedes and Team GB all filled that role. The only team in it were the Poles. They won 16 of the 25 races. They only scored 1 less point than they did in the race-off. They were magnificent. Subedei
The team management of the Swedes was woefully inept tonight. As was TR. Only Jonsson and Lindback showed well for the Swedes. And Lindback's antics at the starting gate are way past a joke now.
Subedei
5. Tomasz Gollob 3, 3, 2, 3, = 14 That just adds up to 11, you're missing a 3 from the last heat.

shazzybird
MANY CONGRATULATIONS TO POLAND xx We may have have finished 4th in the World but I have really enjoyed this WTC even though been sat at home watching it have had a wonderful time on the Live-Updates many thanks to Fozzie, Sue and all the other mods for hosting xx None of the lads let us down they all rode their steel shoes off, some dodgy decisions but some excellent entertaining racing from all riders during the series xx

That makes it worse, they'd have won with Tomasz Chrazawieskiweski the 16 year old novice (who scored 0!!!) in Holtas place so why piss of so many people (including half of Poland)? The Poles (I'm ignoring Holta) were magnificent and worthy winners.
panthers
Well done to poland good to see Gollob win a world title scotty was unlackey to have bike problames good to see steady go well .
longlivefrankie
oh well i guess it was england riding then lol and holta is no different than pietersen, hick, jones x 2, playing cricket for england? numerous rugby players not playing for their nations of birth?
Subedei
So, take Holta's 12 points away from the Poles and they still win by 16 points. They didn't just beat the opposition, the annihilated them.
shazzybird
When Sir Kelv kept going on and on about dangerous riding and having races stopped, riders excluded and re-runs was he right to say this?
