TheStartTart
Got a link to the story? I can't see it anywhere. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Strange it was there a bit ago, no wind up honest, had a message by text too TST whole article was Australia's hopes of qualifying for the final of the Speedway World Cup have been rocked by the withdrawal of Jason Crump from tonight's race-off in Poland. Crump has gone down with a sickness bug and will be replaced in the Aussie line-up by Steve Johnston (pictured) Crump's absence means that Poland and Denmark will start as the favourites to qualify for Saturday's final, with the Poles also making a change to their line-up to bring in Grzegorz Walasek for Krzysztof Kasprzak. Denmark had announced earlier in the week that Kenneth Bjerre would replace Charlie Gjedde in their line-up. DENMARK (red) 1 - Kenneth Bjerre 2 - Niels-Kristian Iversen 3 - Hans Andersen 4 - Nicki Pedersen 5 - Bjarne Pedersen POLAND (blue) 1 - Jarek Hampel 2 - Rune Holta 3 - Tomasz Gollob 4 - Piotr Protasiewicz 5 - Grzegorz Walasek CZECH REPUBLIC (white) 1 - Tomas Suchanek 2 - Ales Dryml 3 - Tomas Topinka 4 - Lukas Dryml 5 - Adrian Rymel AUSTRALIA (yellow) 1 - Davey Watt 2 - Adam Shields 3 - Ryan Sullivan 4 - Leigh Adams 5 - Steve Johnston Edited August 4, 2005 by TheStartTart

Rob B
Nah I still don't think the Aussies would have qualified with Crump riding. The Danes went through a brief bad patch halfway through then it was back to business as usual.
Subedei
Think the tactical moves by the Danes knocked the stuffing out of Australia. That's assuming Ryan Sullivan has some stuffing to have knocked out.
SCB
The Aussie may have sneaked it with Crump, if he had dropped 3 or less points, Australia would have gone through. Obviously the Danes might have upped the anti but they may have thrown in the towel too. I still think we have the best 4 teams in the final and I don't think Australia are worty of a final spot anyway.
