Subedei
As regards the issue of the Swedish team. I do hope we do not have a rerun of what we saw at Poole last year. Relying on the Danes to let them past in order to win the WTC. The referee on that occasion should have taken stern action against the Danish rider. It was a clear case of cheating! And I suppose they relied on Leigh Adams to beat Gollob in order to win Event 2 at Eskilstuna? There's no proof that Andersen did anything untoward in last year's final. I suppose it was a pesky Swedish supporter with the mysterious "red light" that only Scott Nicholls saw.
wookieboy
Rickardsson is probably one of the greatest riders Speedway has ever seen but he does have his little 'moments' where he is not as fair as people make him out to be and you think to yourself 'Your so good, you don't need to do that'. Elbowing Hampel a prime example (and how it got away with that I will never know!!) but also at Cardiff this year when he went down way too easily for my liking when challenged on the inside. In football that's a professional dive and a yellow card. He should have been excluded for that and may then have struggled to reach the final eight but because he is the main man in Speedway he seems to get away with a lot more than he should. Same with Schumacher in Formula One. And the more he gets away with it, the more he will do it!!
Steve Shovlar
Rickardsson did absolutely nothing wrong. He just gave a bit back to what Hampel was doing to him. Hampel was leaning all over him and he decided Hampel wasn't going to get away with it, so gave him a nudge back. Fair play to Trick. All four back the correct decision. As for the Holta exclusion, well the ref was clearly wrong. Should have been a simple decision of all four back in that one.

Norris clearly, ahbsolutely, took away Rickardsson's leg. NO Ifs, buts or maybes. Did TRick make the most of it? Yes of course he did! But Norris made contact, he admitted he made contact and no matter how you look at it, if a rider makes contact the the opponent falls, then the rider who made contact is excluded. In an interview straight after the incident, Norris was upset, but when shown the replay, said, "well fair enough I did touch him". There are so many hoping and praying for Tony to fail in some way or another, but it ain't going to happen just yet. His legal dispatch of young pretender Hampel shows he still means business. Jeeeeeeeesus #2 son gets angry if TRick ever comes in 2nd, when he won his first GP round this year he was on cloud 9 you would of thought he'd already won the World Title again. TR should've been out on his ear in that heat.

Rickardsson clearly, absolutely, took away Hampel's arm. NO Ifs, buts or maybes. Did Hampel make the most of it? No of course he didn’t! But Rickardsson made contact, he didn’t admitted he made contact and no matter how you look at it, if a rider makes contact and the opponent falls, then the rider who made contact is excluded. He wouldn’t give an interview straight after the incident, but shown the replay, might have said, "well fair enough I did touch him". Subedei
Anyway, Ht 1 tonight should be interesting. TR and Walasek, both unbeaten the last time they rode Wroclaw (TR in the GP and Walasek in the race-off) up against each other. It'll give the Poles a massive boost if Walasek beats TR.
