pirate paul
What a race! Made up for the early part of the meeting easily.
SCB
It had it all, great race anyway but the whole result hung on it. Tomasz Gollob, don't you just love him?!
crazysue
It was an amazing heat, some quality racing in the later heats of this meeting.
ZKZ Kitten
absolutely amazing, the best race I've ever seen in my life!
AndyM
I missed it! Can someone describe exactly what happened?
t1tmt
if only Gollob rode like that every time, how many times champion by now?
SCB
Smolinski got a flier where as PK and Gollob missed the start. PK went wide and got moved out of the way, Gollob went under Adams and on the 4th bend all 4 riders were side by side but by the time they entered the 1st bend, Smoli was leading wit PK and Gollob battling away behind him and Adams behind them all. Then for the next 3 laps, Gollob and Adams raced side by side, passing and re-passing and every now and again dropping behind Smoli. On the line Adams JUST got the win to stop Poland winning the meeting and handing the win to the Swedes.
Subedei
Gollob on a Joker ride traded places with Leigh Adams for 4 laps, with Smolinski in the mix and PK at the back. Gollob's riding really defied belief at times in the race. It was amazing. Adams was outstanding as well. But it really was a throwback to the Gollob of old. Hanging off the bike, hurtling into the bends at impossible speeds and maintaining control somehow.
Matt Davis
Yes it was great heat, really wanted Gollob to do it!
Jez
if only Gollob rode like that every time, how many times champion by now? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If Adams rode like that every time, how many times would he have been World Champion by now
Subedei
Gollob's best two rides in recent years have probably been in the SWC. His defeat of Crump in Ht 25 of the race-off last season and this incredible ride in Ht 25 tonight. Such a shame he didn't win it, but Adams really rode well and wouldn't really have deserved to lose it. I'd expect to see Walasek replace Kasprzak in the race-off. Unlike you to slip up on such a small detail
Subedei
Got to agree there. I don't think Gollob would've managed a second win over TR on the night.
Star Lady
Amazing it was but we were yelling like hell for Adams to let Gollob thro to at least give the Poles a chance to avenge the injustice that was Rickardsson in the previous heat. Sure they'll repeat it!
pirate paul
avenge the injustice that was Rickardsson in the previous heat. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What? Classic case of first bend bunching (note the smilies!)
