BritPete
Indeed, Middlo does a very good job! hard to believe that about this time last year some on here were calling for his sacking! Also, in the last couple of seasons, he has obliged us with a post about the world cup, hopefully, he will keep that tradition going this year! BROCK
Shazzy, me dear, that's a wee bit politically incorrect and naughty. The cross of St George is the English flag. As has been stated elsewhere the team is Great Britain [which, incidentally, is also incorrect as Great Britain does not exist]. However the flag you should fly from you window is the Union Flag [sometimes this, also incorrectly, is referred to as the Union Jack. The Union Jack is the Royal Navy flag]. Isn't life confusing? I think I'll go and lie down in me darkened padded cell. Regards to the former Mr U&C! Joy to you, Bert. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's a pity on the parade vehicle they could not fly it the right way up. As it was upside down.
21st century heathen
He picked the right team in my opinion. Even if we'd fallen flat on our arses the best thing for British Speedway was to give Simon and Chris a chance, and some experience. It would have been very easy to ask Chris L, Deano or Gary, to step in. Simon and Chris are our future, and as I say even if we'd blown it the experience would be vital for the coming years. As it is they were a sensation, and surely an inspiration to the the other three. Being the experienced riders they knew they couldn't let the side down while Chris and Simon were flying. I don't mind admitting I wasn't sure we could even stay with the Danes. It's a pleasure to admit I was wrong, and congratulate all concerned on a great perfomance all round. coma
Well Middlo always said he would give the young guys a chance ONLY when they made the committment to move up to the Elite league full time and prove themselves. Well they did and he gave them their chance in return. Both Middlo and the boys were superb and I hope they all keep their team places for the final.
