tigerblues
Ooh, Mr Richardson, top scoring Brit........AGAIN. Unlucky that we lost, but Lee was really something. I know he didn't do quite as well as Swindon but still a class act!
Shelby
AGAIN Well Done Lee Richardson on a great performance for Team GB you did the Brits proud. Now, where are all the critics gone on here who are quick to put him down? but not as quick to praise him when he's done well. Funny that! Funny that! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well as much as I dislike Mr Richardson I am the first to admit that he did ride well last night and last week at Swindon. I think that the team GB side would have looked pretty silly without his scores last night. Well done Lee.
Ace no.5
Lee Richardson last night got twice as many heat wins as the entire Danish team and twice as many heat wins as the entire Swedish team!
Subedei
Lee Richardson last night got twice as many heat wins as the entire Danish team and twice as many heat wins as the entire Swedish team! And as many as Sweden and Denmark combined. A feat young Richardson shared with Tomasz Gollob. Possibly Richardson's greatest feat last night was being the only rider to lower Gollob's colours. A terrific display by the fellow.
Silver Bee
I personally think Lee Richardson is an extremely good rider. He has been plagued with machinary problems this season and is beggining to overcome them. No-one can knock his effort for team GB over the past week and surely not the work he puts into riding for Sw****n week in week out as well. As for the love him/hate him debate - gotta be on the love side (how gay did that sound?! ) I personally have never seen the guy put in less than 100% - certainly for team GB. This season he has been not makin g as many starts as before but is passing a lot lot more now. (remember the Nicki move in Cardiff ? And I wonder how many people slating him on here now, were cheering him at that moment ) Give the guy a break.

sirmatty
Well done richardson, a good performance on a tarts track! Next time the world cup is in the UK we need it on the big crappy tracks so we can blow them away! Sheffield and Swindon will do, put in fat screeny, steady, harris, richardson and nicholls, loram!! WOOOOO!! Home track advantage can win england the world cup. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LIKE LAST YEAR (NOT)
sjw ministerofport
I think the last twelve months Lee has had to struggle through engine problems and not good health, but in that time he seems to have had to try more from the back as his gating has not been good. Now he seems to be able to gate and come from the back, this must make him a better rider for the future. WELL DONE LEE YOU DID GB PROUD. lionheart
In the past I always regard Richardson as a gater, and not much else, but although I did'nt get to watch the WTC, from his scoring he seems to have matured quite well. Well done Lee, and keep up the scoring, but NOT against the Aces eh.
BertHoven
I hope those who maligned Mr Richardson for little or no worthwhile reason are now going to acknowledge with the same verve and enthusiasm the fact that he was, by far, he best English rider in the tournament! I hope so - but I doubt it!
SCB
he was, by far, he best English rider in the tournament! As usual!!
Subedei
He's been in super form recently, save for a disappointing performance at, I believe, Belle Vue. In fact, without actually having the statistics to back it up, I'd say that over the past 8 weeks or so, he'd be out-performing Adams for Swindon. Trees
Lee did great and certainly received some of the biggest cheers of the night from the british contingent but as he said his performance didn't mean much as TeamGB as a team didn't manage to get on the rostrum. I'd say that with a little luck they could have, a couple of heave ho's from rivals and Scott's joker set back and we would have been right amongst them. But then it's all ifs and maybes and over until next year The team didn't get a medal but they gave it 100% which was very good to watch. The youngsters certainly didn't disgrace themselves and with more practice on international tracks they'll be up for the count!

ZKZ Kitten
Lee's in a great form. I'm really proud of him. I really hope he'll keep this form till the next Grand Prix. He deserves better place than he is on now...
Programme Laminator Badge Wearer
What a super display from Richardson. First class. He won more races than all the Swedes put together. And a super win over aTomek Gollob, altough sometimes you do wonder where Gollob's wandering off to on the first bend. Both big tracks which'll suit the Poles down to the ground. It's tracks like Eastbourne they struggle on. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> polish speedway = big tracks, little shale. put them around sheffield and swindon, one foot deep pot holes, potatoes growing just inside the fence, scare crows along the straights and the brits will win! Trees
Would LOVE to see the WTC at Sheffield again and King's Lynn if poss. Can people remember how impressive Lee was at Sheffield in 2002. Would like to see the two qualifiers in Britain and the race off and final in Sweden.
21st century heathen
Lee was fantastic again, and 9 wins from 11 rides speaks for itself. I've spent the last few years saying he would come good, and even in a recent conversation with a Wolves fan I said he would be a better GP rider than Scott in the long term. That remains to be seen but we've seen a glimpse of what Lee can do when everything is working for him. If he can leave injuries, illness, and bike problems behind him I believe he will be the next British GP winner. He seems more level headed when racing than a lot of riders, and some very clever mores on track keep him out of trouble. Some riders ride into trouble rather than finding a way around it. Great performance, well done Lee.
