Star Lady
Well said Spin King.Oh right, so accusing him of faking an illness isn't slagging off? Can't remember who said it but someone did, and it's all rubbish! So what if you don't like him? No need to start a club, you're all just making yourselves look stupid. There's some lovely Danes going to be racing in the race off on Thursday....if you can't support our lads then you can go support them. By the way, if you go to Sports World you can get a great big Danish flag.....pretty cheap as well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Calm down I don't recall any of us Richardson dislikers saying he faked an illness.........yet another example of things being twisted. Take a deep breath...feeling better now. Support the Danes you must be joking ....come on you Aussies

KevH
Very pleased to hear of Mr Richardson's gutsy and successful performance in the semi. To prove himself on the world stage, he needs to repeat that in the final. If he were to score a maximum, he'd be a third of the way towards Peter Collins' achievement of three WTC final maximums in a row! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ........... And if he scores zero will be half way towards Jerzy Sczakiel's achievement of two WTC zeros in a row.

richtea
What always makes me laugh is that no matter which rider it is being slagged off you can always rely on the sub 16 year old girlies to come to the said riders defence. Unless its Mark Loram who seems to attract the "older" fans

21st century heathen
richtea - Ever cross your mind that 16 year old girls are sometimes right? Talking of PC does anyone remember the team cup in about '83 when he rode like an amateur? It was in Vojens if that helps. His excuse is still the best I've ever heard. He had bought a new set of leathers, and they were too tight!!! He even went back to the changing rooms to put his old ones on. He then continued to have a bad night. shazzybird
Why are you getting on at Lee? What exactly has he done that is so bad? He's just gone out and represented the country for god's sake, give the guy a bit of credit. Well, unless you lot would like to replace Lee on Saturday, I'm sure we could get that arranged? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ask any Mark Loram fan I'm sure that they'll tell you We did give Lee credit for going out I for one ate humble pie after asking for Floppy instead of him! As for replacing any squad member for Saturday, that just aint gonna happen, Middlo is keeping the same team, if he were to put Mark in (and let's face it he's not 100% at the moment) and he got injured there is no reserve to take his place, makes sense to keep the same team as Sunday really doesn't it. Unless its Mark Loram who seems to attract the "older" fans <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Guilty as charged do you really have to refer to me as an "Older" fan though can you not just call me "Tinkerbell"

Along with a couple of the other Brits so they went and chnaged out of their Team GB kit and put on their usual kevlars. Shazzy, you are "older" than 16 though

superjoe
Was uncertain about how Lee would ride on Sunday and wondered how commited to riding he would be if he didnt feel so good. I have always Liked Lee and was so pleased when he proved all of my concerns wrong. His Celebrations after each race showed how comitted and patriotic he is . oh and what a great night me and my mates had on Sunday
spin king
I usually find that Lee seems to ride just a little bit better when he wears GB kevelars, perhaps he ought to wear them for the Grand Prix.

He ALWAYS ups his riding for Team GB, has without a doubt been Team GB's best rider in the SWC since it's formation. He even managed to get a pass or two in when riding for Team GB I like Lee. BertHoven
I like Lee, he's one of my favourite riders, he always gives 100% even if it doesn't always show. Last night proved his racing can be brilliant, still don't know why he can't do that in a GP, but hey, it happens! If Lee was physically sick at Eastbourne, why was it an excuse in case GB didn't go through? He wouldn't make himself sick, if he didn't do well, he'd just take it and get on with his life! It's not a crime to lose something, we all want to win but unfortunately we don't always get our own way. We don't win the football world cup, but Becks doesn't start being sick as an excuse! I think everyone who is even suggesting Lee would even try and pull something like that is just pathetic. I think he does enjoy riding, if he was scared we wouldn't win or worried that he'd do rubbish, wouldn't he have just told Middlo no? I think you need to grow up and get behind every rider that is doing something for our country. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well said, Fudge. Totally agree with you. Some of us need to remember that riders are human beings, with all that it entails, and not automatons programmed to ride in races. BTW: I like the avatars at the foot of your posts. shazzybird
We have a lad in our Sunday League football team that before each game he is violently sick. (Can't believe I'm making an excuse here for LR) Maybe when he was ill at Eastbourne it was pre-WTC jitters, even the most composed people get nerves and with knowing he has fans out there that don't like him for whatever reason that may have contributed to the nerves. Just a thought
shirls
That thought crossed my mind to Shazzybird, and that could have been a contributing (sp)factor to his illness, but Lee is like a sickily child im fraid, his immune system does'nt seem very strong and if there is a bug going around Lee gets it, as for the eastbourne meeting ,he was feeling rough right from the start, but tried to keep going untill he was actually sick whilst riding in his 3rd ride. If one rider says it then it sounds like an excuse.
