Nothing like sticking the knife in after the event eh? Can any of you rubbing it in now seriously say that you weren't worried about Richardson prior to the event because I certainly was!!!

Sure he rode his luck, but then everyone needs that in life. He did well and scored 15 points and was part of a great team effort. But would some people be so sanctimonious against those who voiced their opinions before if he'd been the one who was the main reason for us not getting to the Final?

So congrats Lee - you did well...just do us a favour and stick to the healthy lifestyle for the next few days!!  ;)

Rabbit you could be 1st reserve in the front row of the knitting circle!

No, there's nothing quite like sticking the knife in before the event... :D

Yeah, I thought he was lucky to pass Pedersen on the pits bend too...

Rabs, I have to admit I was worried about Rico too!!

And was I the only one worried that he was going to throw up during the bumps? Seriously, he did good. :approve: I've never been one of his critics, but now is definitely the time to offer him some real praise!

GET IN THERE LEE! :D

I have to admit to having concerns about Mr. Richardson but only the same that I would have had about any rider who was riding when not fit not about his riding ability or his committment.

If Rico had pulled out through illness after two rides we would have been knackered and if he pulled out of the meeting last night there was a real threat that this could have happened. Anyway it didnt so credit where it is deserved, bring on saturday and ill have a lager :D

More than a hint of bigitory in that post I fear!

No bigotry, I just don't like him full stop.

For the record I felt exactly the same way about Ivan Mauger, it didn't stop him being a good rider, just one I didn't like. In Mauger's case is was mainly for his penchant for not arriving for meetings he was supposed to be in when I was looking forward to seeing him ride. In Richardsons's case it's his constant stream of excuses both before and after the events.

Shazzy and ML can I join your knitting circle with my crochet.....I'm a bit on the dangerous side with pointed needles

Life can be pretty stressful being perfect SL. :approve::) He did say he had not been for a 'number two's' all night to Sophie though. :D

Why were you looking forward to seeing him ride when you didn't like him?

Lee Richardson was brilliant and he stuffed it RIGHT UP all those who keep going on about him. Being at the match I never saw the TV, but if he was 'making excuses' then it must have been pure modesty, because he was far and away the best rider on display.

Maybe you would have preferred it if he'd pointed at the camera and gone into a Muhammed Ali 'All my critics crawl... I told you I was the greatest of all time' style rant. Actually I would have preferred that, though I don't think it would have quite suited him somehow.

And as for those who reckon he is scared of being on the outside of Nicki Pedersen. Well - nyah nyah nyah to all of you too.

Very pleased to hear of Mr Richardson's gutsy and successful performance in the semi. To prove himself on the world stage, he needs to repeat that in the final. If he were to score a maximum, he'd be a third of the way towards Peter Collins' achievement of three WTC final maximums in a row! :P

The first of which was scored at just 19 years of age! Brilliant achievement by PC.
