Star Lady
Why were you looking forward to seeing him ride when you didn't like him? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I used to look froward to him riding until I realised that he appeared to hold the fans in contempt as he often did not appear. I've never said either were not good riders simply that I didn't like them Going back to my crochet now

AndyM
Blair would probably charm the socks off you if he thought there was a potential vote in it. The same cannot apparently be said for Mr. Richardson, who would appear to keep himself to himself. Possibly shyness rather than holding the fans in contempt? Rita
Once again Lee comes out with excuses! Was that an insurance incase Britain didn't go through?I think so! Did he ride like a man who was "ill" the night before? I think not! So why make up all these petty excuses, looking for sympathy? But whatever it is, people will get fed up of one of Britains "top" riders moaning all the flipping time! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was no exuse, Lee was actually sick while he was riding at Eastbourne on sat,
Guest cheetahhawk
Hey Star Lady,Midnight Lady and Shazzybird can I please join your knitting/crochet circle, as I am another who just doesn't like Mr Sicknote Richardson. I can knit and do crochet, not too good but enough to say that I can. Admitted he rode well yesterday but I am fed up to the back teeth with his constant whinging. .*EMMA*.
I’m fed up of reading about who doesn't like Lee and why they don't like.. I don't think people give a rubbish if you don't like him really ... most people are on here to support our riders riding for our country..Whether they ride good or bad at the end of the day they are the best we have got and we should be getting behind them and supporting them not slating them... 21st century heathen
What a shame a few couldn't put their bias aside. Lee was ill, that was obvious, and he gave it everything he had. He may have had a couple of re-runs, but that's speedway. It wasn't his fault the races were re-run, that's just the way speedway goes. He scores a maximum, and still some slate him. What more could you have asked? I think it's pretty twisted sitting around fingers crossed that one of our lads will fail, just so you can have a dig at him. I'm not the biggest Joe Screen fan anymore, but I'll back him as much as any other rider this week. For the record I thought his experience showed last night, and a couple of very good first turns gave us two absolutely vital wins to keep the Danes on the ropes. How bout we all put differences aside for a week, and back the boys wearing the flag. Very well done Lee, and more of the same please. ZKZ Kitten
The same cannot apparently be said for Mr. Richardson, who would appear to keep himself to himself. Possibly shyness rather than holding the fans in contempt? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I met Lee after the Copenhagen Grand Prix. Got his autograph and took a picture with him. I spent few hours standing next to him and I have to say it was definately the best night of my life. Lee didn't look shy, he also didn't keep the distance from me and other people. I would say he was very sociable, he smiled a lot and looked very very good I still don't understand why some people here 'have a go' at him. He's a young rider, he is quite experience but still have a lot of time to get better, ride better. You can't say you don't like someone if you havent met him. You definately have right to say 'I dont like his way of riding' but it's not the same as 'I dont like him and his way of being'. Lee's getting money for every meeting and for every point he scores. I wouldnt say that his illnesses are posed or planned. He's just a human like we are. Speedway's not only his hobby but also his job. He may have a bad day sometimes, like we all do. I dont ask you to love him but I ask you not to blame him. He's not only one night star, he is a good rider.

tigerblues
I like Lee, he's one of my favourite riders, he always gives 100% even if it doesn't always show. Last night proved his racing can be brilliant, still don't know why he can't do that in a GP, but hey, it happens! If Lee was physically sick at Eastbourne, why was it an excuse in case GB didn't go through? He wouldn't make himself sick, if he didn't do well, he'd just take it and get on with his life! It's not a crime to lose something, we all want to win but unfortunately we don't always get our own way. We don't win the football world cup, but Becks doesn't start being sick as an excuse! I think everyone who is even suggesting Lee would even try and pull something like that is just pathetic. I think he does enjoy riding, if he was scared we wouldn't win or worried that he'd do rubbish, wouldn't he have just told Middlo no? I think you need to grow up and get behind every rider that is doing something for our country. Edited August 1, 2005 by tigerblues
ZKZ Kitten
Didnt he drop ZKZ in it at the beginning of the season though? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope. He's still riding, he was riding in the last meeting against Czestochowa and he is doing very well. Just after Nicki Pedersen he is our best rider
Star Lady
Better still we'll knit him hat scarf and gloves so he doesn't go sick for a while how's that <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And I'll crochet a massive shawl to keep him warm Cheetahawk, welcome to the circle, just make sure your wool doesn't clash with the colours we are using If we keep this going long enough it might even get halfway towards the length of one of the we hate Nicki P threads now I wonder if all those having a go at us, do the same to the folk that don't like him
tigerblues
I don't like Nicki P at all, like a lot of Brits here! There's a big difference between Nicki and Lee ya know.....Lee doesn't deserve to be slagged off. In fact, I'd be quite happy to tell Nicki exactly what I thought of him! Why are you getting on at Lee? What exactly has he done that is so bad? He's just gone out and represented the country for god's sake, give the guy a bit of credit. Well, unless you lot would like to replace Lee on Saturday, I'm sure we could get that arranged?
spin king
Cannot believe that Lee Richardson, is getting slated here, the guy was ill last night, and scored a max, beat Nicki Pedersen easy what do people want.
Star Lady
Lee doesn't deserve to be slagged off. He has not been slagged off, all we have said is we don't like him. Now if disliking a rider is slagging him off I'll plead guilty. Amazing how things get twisted

Can't remember who said it but someone did, and it's all rubbish! So what if you don't like him? No need to start a club, you're all just making yourselves look stupid. There's some lovely Danes going to be racing in the race off on Thursday....if you can't support our lads then you can go support them. By the way, if you go to Sports World you can get a great big Danish flag.....pretty cheap as well.
Iffoid
My other half sometimes slates me for reading what is on here and occasionally replying - but some of the comments on here are unbelievable. Everyone has a right to their opinion - but there are times when if you haven't got anything nice to say... don't say anything. Rico (along with the other boys) was awesome last night & only deserves praise. Well done Team GB - a repeat performance on Saturday night please!
