Blimey! If losing one selection is bad luck and losing two is carelessness, what does that make three?! :( Presumably Norris would be back in if Rico does pull out, having ridden in the same meeting. Given the recent run of Richardson form it wouldn't be a great loss.

I said he looked like 'death warmed up' in the pits on monday night.

Looks like he's sunk even further into the pits.

Rico and Scotty are our GP guys, they're the best in the team IMO. We need both of them 100% fit if we want to get anywhere near beating the Danes. You've gotta admit, they look excellent, with Nicki P, Bjarne and Hans currently doing excellent. All the best to Lee and we can only hope he's ok for tomorrow :)

Probably, but then whats more important, the world cup or a meeting between two teams whose seasons are over already?

Think that remark is a bit premature dont you think.

This meeting could be the difference between us overtaking you or not.

8 behind with 3 meetings in hand.

It could come back to haunt you

Get David Norris in, his performance at belle vue was shocking!!

Many people at Belle Vue are waiting to see Norris perform there. There is a widespread concensus of opinion in Manchester that Mr Norris considers that the northern air can seriously damage his health.

The fact is Mr. C, Richardson has ALWAYS looked like that, somehow I am quite convinced that he will be back to full health today, and fully prepared for this evenings BIG meeting. There are those that suggest hypochondria, when they speak of Richardson, of course, I am not amongst such a group!

He pulls out of more meetings than any other rider I know. Look at the British Final. Yes he was having bike problems but so was Chris Louis who after his 1st 2 rides had no chance of winning but tried all night and won his last race. Lee was probably on his way home then. If things dont go well he has no fight.

NEW GB FITNESS WORRY

Sunday, July 31, 2005

GREAT Britain boss Neil Middleditch was left sweating on the fitness of Lee Richardson overnight ahead of their World Cup opener at Swindon.

Richardson pulled out of Swindon’s Elite League clash at Eastbourne after three rides with illness.

Middleditch said: “I sent a text message to Lee to check on him and he responded saying he had been sick and needed a good night of sleep.”

All the more reason both Simon Stead and Chris Harris to take this opportunity to propel themselves to a higher status in Speedway.

Good luck to both these lads and the rest of the team too. Nothing is a forgone conclusion and there is no reason why adversity (and the team being written off) can be the motivation to upset all predictions and come out on top.
