Jensen, Denmark * 10 Kaj Laukkanen, Finland * 11 Erik Andersson, Sweden 12 David Ruud, Sweden * 13 Juha Hautamäki, Finland 14 Kauko Nieminen, Finland * 15 Henrik Møller, Denmark 16 Steven Andersen, Denmark 17 Tero Aarnio, Finland 18 Rene Lehtinen, Finland *= favourites to qualify. Finnish forum predictions comp. 5+1 go trough Workington comets are riding friday and saturday in the UK, so Kauko Nieminen's participation is uncertain, well to me at least. Maybe they've given him permission to come and ride in this one? If not, he's in a hurry, because the meeting starts 12 AM on sunday. Joonas Kylmäkorpi has withdrawn, it was maybe tuesday when he did. I guess his shoulder injury is bad? Edited July 29, 2005 by f-s-p

He was NOT happy... First someone came and hit him entering 1st bend from the start (not too hard), but enough. Kake fell and was exluded. Second time in the run-off for 5th he was second from the start, when Bager? hit his rear wheel and Kake lost his chain and almost fell. I talked with Ilkka Teromaa who was in the jury, he said the decisions were clear and accurate. I was busy taking pictures and missed them... But Kake was certain that he was forced in to his actions, and should have been allowed in the re-runs. And yes, he looked GOOD! Kaj Laukkanen took what was his, and made it trough. The track was excellent in finnish standards, but these guys good have ridden a much deeper track. Henning Bager seemed to be the one who lost the most, because in all his heats he would have come from the back, if there would have been even a little bit more dirt. There was one line, and it was follow the leader after they've made it to backstraight. Crowd of 500+ saw good speedway on a wonderful shunshining day!
