tomcat
Well, we had considered going to the SWC round at Swindon..but will now saty at home and watch it on Sky..£22 a ticket.. they're having a laugh aren't they.. Would have cost me about £60 with my lad and wife, not including fuel there and back again and also food and a programme.. I think I was right when I stated at the start of the season that I wouldn't attend any speedway meetings this year.. apart from the one here at Sittingbourne V the USA Dream team.. at least we got our monies worth there.. well done Sittingbourne. I know that a profit must be made. but hell fire, £22 a pop.. sorry BSPA, BSI, FIM..A speedway fan I am.. a mug I am not!!

Mateusz
Trust you will be joining us on the back straight and not going in amongst the prawn sandwich brigade. If I go I'll obviously join you and what's more - I hope that together we will make a nice "party" on the train to Leszno What is the prawn sandwich brigade?? I understand what it means in direct traslation but don't get the point..
Trees
not going in amongst the prawn sandwich brigade. Not going to sit down in the grandstand? lol
Subedei
Roy Keane of Manchester United called supporters who occupy the "best seats" in the stadium, mostly non-paying guests of sponsors and the like, the "prawn sandwich brigade". Part of their day out is generally a pre-match meal and other things the "ordinary" supporter doesn't get, such as prawn sandwiches. Mateusz
LOL thanks for the answer So in reply to Rico's post - I never sit between prawn sandwich brigade. Always back straight Edited July 31, 2005 by Mateusz
Subedei
I suppose the "back straight" crowd could be termed the "Lech Beer Brigade".
Mateusz
Not a bad idea LECH beer always makes me think about speedway as a typical beer of a speedway fan - cheap and good Edited July 31, 2005 by Mateusz
stevehone
At least Trees supports the Brits unlike you and your little boyfriend! which reminds me, maybe you should mention to him to change his Avtar, a little pathetic to have a GB Body Colour!!!!!!!!! But maybe that suits in some way. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I am supporting The Aussies and Team GB (some of!!) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> how times change in a year ... obviously all about personal things rather than being patriotic after all ... maybe you should get a little more friendly with your Danish pals, then you'll be able to display a Danish avatar and we can all slag you off for supporting a team other than Team GB ... but oh no ... it's what you're doing anyway. awaiting an apology for last year
frigbo
I am supporting The Aussies and Team GB (some of!!) whereas Tina, Madamemuck and Tiddiwoo (my travelling companions) will be supporting Team GB and well I don't know whom else! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Girls and sport

Rico
Polrail site will give you the times of the trains. Not sure what time the Leszno meeting is scheduled to start and would appreciate confirmation from any of our Polish chums. Edit - Mateusz confirms an 1800 hrs start time for the Leszno v Czestochowa match. Rico Edited August 1, 2005 by Rico
