Subedei
This weekend’s first meeting sees the top two going head to head, as TR’s Tarnow take on the champ’s Torun. But will TR be there? He returned to action in Sweden on Tuesday, but maybe Tarnow will prefer to stick with Scott Nicholls? Tarnow trail by 10 points from the earlier meeting between the sides and will be looking to put 51 points on the board to assure them top spot in the final standings. It should be interesting. ------------------------------ Tarnow..49 9..T Rickardsson..3,3,2,3,0 = 11 10..S Burza..0 = 0 11..J Gollob..2,1,2,3,3 = 11 12..G Rempala..1',0,0,0 = 1 13..T Gollob..3,3,3,2',3 = 14+1 14..M Rempala..2,1,1,0,2' = 6+1 15..J Kolodziej..1',1,1',3,0 = 6+2 Torun..41 1..W Jagus..1,2',2,1',2 = 8+2 2..M Puszakowski..2,3,1',0 = 6+1 3..J Crump..3,2,3,0,1',1' = 10+1 4..A Smith..0,0,0,1 = 1 5..K Zabik..0,0,1,1 = 2 6..A Miedzinski..3,2,2,3,2,2 = 14 7..M Jagus..0 = 0 Ht 1..Miedzinski, M Rempala, Kolodziej, M Jagus 3-3 (3-3) Ht 2..Rickardson, Puszakowski, W Jagus, Burza [E/F] 3-3 (6-6) Ht 3..Crump, J Gollob, G Rempala, Smith 3-3 (9-9) Ht 4..T Gollob, Miedzinski, M Rempala, Zabik 4-2 (13-11) Ht 5..Puszakowski, W Jagus, J Gollob, G Rempala 1-5 (14-16) Ht 6..T Gollob, Crump, M Rempala, Smith 4-2 (18-18) Ht 7..Rickardson, Miedzinski, Kolodziej, Zabik 4-2 (22-20) Ht 8..T Gollob, W Jagus, Puszakowski, M Rempala 3-3 (25-23) Ht 9..Crump, Rickardsson, Kolodziej, Smith 3-3 (28-26) Ht 10..Miedzinski, J Gollob, Zabik, G Rempala 2-4 (30-30) Ht 11..Rickardsson, M Rempala, Smith, Crump 5-1 (35-31) Ht 12..J Gollob, Miedzinski, W Jagus, G Rempala 3-3 (38-34) Ht 13..Kolodziej, T Gollob, Zabik, Puszakowski [Ex] 5-1 (43-35) Ht 14..J Gollob, Miedzinski, Crump, Kolodziej 3-3 (46-38) Ht 15..T Gollob, W Jagus, Crump, Rickardsson 3-3 (49-41) ------------------------------ Notes: 1..World champion elect Tony Rickardsson returns to the Tarnow line-up, while Zabik returns from injury for Torun. 2..What a lot of brothers there are in this meeting and Polish speedway - too many, if you ask me. 3..Ht 7 and Kolodziej replaces Burza for Tarnow. 4..Ht 9 and Kolodziej replaces Burza for Tarnow. 5..Ht 13 and guess what? Subedei
This weekend’s second meeting sees third place Bydgoszcz hosting lowly Gdansk. With only 2 points to make up for the bonus point, Bydgoszcz look handy for a place in the top 2, because you can’t see anything other than a strong Bydgoszcz win here. And should the result of the Tarnow-Torun meeting go their way, Andreas Jonsson and his boys could finish top. ------------------------------ Bydgoszcz..59 9..A Jonsson..2,3,3,3,2' = 13+1 10..K Krzyzaniak..1',1,2',2' = 6+3 11..R Sawina..2',0,3,2',2' = 9+3 12..M Robacki..3,3,0,3 = 9 13..P Protasiewicz..3,0,3,3,3 = 12 14..K Buczkowski..0,0,2,0 = 2 15..K Klecha..3,2',3 = 8+1 Gdansk..30 1..R Kosciecha..3 = 3 2..G Klopot..0,2,1,1,1 = 5 3..T Chrzanowski..0,3,1,2,0 = 6 4..T Bajerski..1,0,1',0 = 2+1 5..K Jablonski..1,1',2,2,0 = 6+1 6..S Dabrowski..1',2,0,0,0 = 3+1 7..M Jablonski..2,2,0,1',1,1 = 7+1 Ht 1..Klecha, M Jablonski, Dabrowski, Buczkowski [Fall] 3-3 (3-3) Ht 2..Kosciecha, Jonsson, Krzyzaniak, Klopot 3-3 (6-6) Ht 3..Robacki, Sawina, K Jablonski, Chrzanowski 5-1 (11-7) Ht 4..Protasiewicz, M Jablonski, K Jablonski, Buczkowski 3-3 (14-10) Ht 5..Robacki, Klopot, Sawina [Ex], Dabrowski [Ex] 3-2 (17-12) Ht 6..Chrzanowski, Buczkowski, Bajerski, Protasiewicz 2-4 (19-16) Ht 7..Jonsson, K Jablonski, Krzyzaniak, M Jablonski 4-2 (23-18) Ht 8..Protasiewicz, Klecha, Klopot, Dabrowski 5-1 (28-19) Ht 9..Jonsson, Krzyzaniak, Chrzanowski, Bajerski 5-1 (33-20) Ht 10..Sawina, K Jablonski, M Jablonski, Robacki [Ex] 3-3 (36-23) Ht 11..Jonsson, Chrzanowski, Bajerski, Krzyzaniak 3-3 (39-26) Ht 12..Robacki, Sawina, M Jablonski, Dabrowski 5-1 (44-27) Ht 13..Protasiewicz, Krzyzaniak, Klopot, K Jablonski 5-1 (49-28) Ht 14..Klecha, Sawina, Klopot, Bajerski [Ex] 5-1 (54-29) Ht 15..Protasiewicz, Jonsson, M Jablonski, Chrzanowski 5-1 (59-30) ------------------------------ Notes: 1..Ht 3 and K Jablonski replaces Bajerski for Gdansk. 2..Ht 4 and M Jablonski replaces Drabik for Gdansk. 3..Ht 5 and Dabrowski replaces Kosciecha for Gdansk. 4..Ht 5 and both Bydgoszcz's Sawina and Gdansk's Dabrowski get up to mischief and are excluded. 5..Ht 5 and M Jablonski replaces Dabrowski for Gdansk. 6..Ht 8 and Klecha replaces Buczkowski for Bydgoszcz, while Dabrowski replaces Kosciecha for Gdansk. 7..Ht 10 and M Jablonski replaces Dabrowski for Gdansk. 8..Ht 10 and Robacki gets up to mischief and is excluded. 9..Ht 12 and it's all change for Gdansk as M Jablonski replaces Dabrowski and Dabrowski replaces Kosciecha. 10..Ht 14 and it's Bajerski's turn to find himself in trouble with the referee and excluded. 11..It's a huge win for Bydgoszcz and it should see them finish the regular season atop the Ekstra Liga. ------------------------------ Bonus points calculated per British Elite League. Subedei
This weekend’s final meeting sees ZKZ Kitten’s, tommy’s and Dog’s favourites Zielona Gora seeking redemption and consolation at home against a powerful Czestochowa side. It’s been a nightmare season for Zielona Gora, but can they give comfort and hope to their faithful fans and the Falubaz Hools with a victory? They’d certainly approach the shoot-out at the Ekstra Liga’s last chance saloon against Gdansk with more hope if they pull this one off. ------------------------------ Zielona Gora..34 9..L Richardson..2,2,3,2,2,1' = 12+1 10..Z Suchecki..1',1',2,1,1 = 6+2 11..M Staszewski..2,0,1' = 3+1 12..P Swist..0,1 = 1 13..R Okoniewski..2,2,2,0,0,2 = 8 14..M Nowaczyk..0,1',0,0 = 1+1 15..A Marcinkowski..2,0,1',0 = 3+1 Czestochowa..56 1..R Sullivan..3,2',1,3,0 = 9+1 2..S Ulamek..0,3,3,2',3 = 11+1 3..G Walasek..3,1,2,1 = 7 4..S Drabik..1,3,1,3,2' = 10+1 5..R Holta..3,3,3,3,3 = 15 6..M Ciura..3,0,0,0 = 3 7..P Dadela..1.0 = 1 Ht 1..Ciura, Marcinkowski, Dadela, Nowaczyk [Ex/T] 2-4 (2-4) Ht 2..Sullivan, Richardson, Suchecki, Ulamek 3-3 (5-7) Ht 3..Walasek, Staszewski, Drabik, Swist 2-4 (7-11) Ht 4..Holta, Okoniewski, Nowaczyk, Ciura 3-3 (10-14) Ht 5..Ulamek, Sullivan, Swist, Staszewski 1-5 (11-19) Ht 6..Drabik, Okoniewski, Walasek, Nowaczyk 2-4 (13-23) Ht 7..Holta, Richardson, Suchecki, Ciura 3-3 (16-26) Ht 8..Ulamek, Okoniewski, Sullivan, Marcinkowski 2-4 (18-30) Ht 9..Richardson, Walasek, Drabik, Okoniewski [E/F] 3-3 (21-33) Ht 10..Holta, Richardson, Staszewski, Dadela 3-3 (24-36) Ht 11..Drabik, Richardson, Walasek, Nowaczyk 2-4 (26-40) Ht 12..Sullivan, Suchecki, Marcinkowski, Ciura 3-3 (29-43) Ht 13..Holta, Ulamek, Suchecki, Okoniewski 1-5 (30-48) Ht 14..Ulamek, Drabik, Suchecki, Marcinkowski 1-5 (31-53) Ht 15..Holta, Okoniewski, Richardson, Sullivan [Ex/T] 3-3 (34-56) ------------------------------ Notes: 1..Ht 1 and not a good start for Zielona Gora as Nowaczyk gets up to mischief at the tapes and is excluded. 2..Ht 8 and Marcinkowski replaces Nowaczyk for Zielona Gora. 3..Ht 9 and Okoniewski replaces Suchecki in a tactical move by Zielona Gora. 4..Ht 10 and Richardson replaces Swist in a tactical move by Zielona Gora, while Dadela replaces Ciura for Czestochowa. 5..Ht 12 and more changes by Zielona Gora as Marcinkowski replaces Swist and Suchecki replaces Staszewski. 6..Ht 15 and some relief for Zielona Gora as Sullivan gets up to mischief at the tapes and is excluded. 7..A maximum for Rune Holta as Zielona Gora are trounced at home. ------------------------------ Bonus points calculated per British Elite League. Champion
Rickardsson is already at Tarnow, he even withdrawn himself from Golden Gala at Lonigo this saturday - the reason is practise with all riders, including Gollobs, which is also at saturday. Incoming meeting with Torun is so important, that this practise is going to be closed for fans ;] Unia needs to win at least by 10 points to get to the 1st or 2nd place before playoffs (which is very important). One of the Torun' leaders, Wieslaw Jagus, had an accident yesterday at Individual Championship semifinal at Gdansk. He was withdrawn after 2 heats and there was a suspicion of some serious injury. Luckily looks like nothing is broken and he's going to ride this weekend. Nobody at Tarnow know if he's 100% fit, though. btw; it is said that TR's contract secures for him riding in every single Unia's league meeting this season, except being injured of course. That's why Scotty's apperance is doubtful, I think.

That's why Scotty's apperance is doubtful, I think. It's probably just as well. Young Nicholls has been a busy fellow this last week. I think he's earned a bit of a rest. Thanks for the information Champion and good luck to Tarnow on Sunday.
Subedei
And here are the Ekstra Liga standings at the end of the regular season (team..meetings..points..small points): 1..Bydgoszcz..14..23..+75 2..Torun..14..22..+18 3..Tarnow..14..22..+118 4..Czestochowa..14..21..+49 5..Leszno..14..19..+32 6..Wroclaw..14..15..-30 7..Gdansk..14..11..-59 8..Zielona Gora..14..4..-203 Taken from: http://www.btzpolonia.pl And the remainder of the Ekstra Liga season should look something like this: So, the remainder of the season looks like this: 07-08-05 Wroclaw versus Tarnow Leszno versus Czestochowa 14-08-05 Tarnow versus Wroclaw Czestochowa versus Leszno 21-08-05 Czestochowa/Leszno versus Bydgoszcz [semi-final] Tarnow/Wroclaw versus Torun [semi-final] Zielona Gora versus Gdansk [relegation race-off] 04-09-05 Bydgoszcz versus Czestochowa/Leszno [semi-final] Torun versus Tarnow/Wroclaw [semi-final] Gdansk versus Zielona Gora [relegation race-off] 11-09-05 Final (1st leg) 25-09-05 Final (2nd leg) However, as Rico has suggested, it is possible the the Wroclaw-Tarnow fixture scheduled for 7 August, 2005, will have to be re-arranged to accommodate the SWC. Subedei
And to close off the weekend's Ekstra Liga action, here are the final top 10 in the averages for the regular season (last week's position and average in brackets): 1..(1)..R Sullivan..Czestochowa..9.97..(10.13) 2..(5)..T Gollob..Tarnow..9.72..(9.55) 3..(2)..N Pedersen..Zielona Gora..9.65..(9.65) 4..(3)..L Adams..Leszno..9.51..(9.62) 5..(4)..J Crump..Torun..9.45..(9.57) 6..(6)..R Holta..Czestochowa..9.37..(9.18) 7..(7)..P Protasiewicz..Bydgoszcz..9.19..(9.16) 8..(8)..T Rickardsson..Tarnow..8.98..(9.00) 9..(9)..A Jonsson..Bydgoszcz..8.95..(8.76) 10..(-)..R Sawina..Bydgoszcz..8.73..(-.--) So, TG's maximum against Torun sees him leap from 5th to 2nd, while Nicki P slipped to 3rd without even turning a wheel in anger at the weekend. With maximums for TG and born-again Pole Rune Holta at the weekend, it's looking pretty good for Poland with the SWC coming up shortly. Can aTomek Gollob lead the Poles to world cup glory on the 60th anniversary of the day Enola Gay's "Little Boy" delivered his fateful "kiss" and ushered in the atomic age?
