Yes.

I'm just wondering which GP would be staged there? Because, as every self-respecting ZKZ fan knows, Leszno is not a Polish club.

I would prefer the GP would take place in ZG, but our stadium is too small (14,000 max). And as much as I hate Leszno ;) once the facility gets renovated it will beat Bydgoszcz and Wroclaw hands down. Plus they got a dance club in that big ass referee tower :)

The following might be a link selling tickets, but I'm not sure:

http://kupbilet.pl/imprezy.php?impr=sw0001

It's from the Bydgoszcz website.

it is,internet pre-sale ends on Aug 8th at 4pm local time

Pleased to report that faxing the Bydgoszcz club has met with success.

I faxed my request for tickets to +48 52 583 00 30 yesterday and received an immediate confirmation.

The confirmation states payment can either be by bank transfer or by cash on collection, so I think we'll pay for them upon arrival at the track on the Saturday.

These are the Ekstraliga fixtures scheduled for 21 (EDITED) August (see postings below)

Czestochowa or Leszno v Bydgoszcz

Tarnow or Wroclaw v Torun

Zielona Gora v Gdansk

None of these are particularly close to Bydgoszcz. Not sure about the Division 1 or 2 fixtures scheduled for that weekend, perhaps one of our Polish chums could confirm.[/code]

Rico

The Sportowefakty.pl site is now saying that the extraliga meetings are on the 21st of August not the 28th as the original fixture list.

I am led to belive that Leigh Adams testimonial is to be at Leszno on the 28th, but this is heresay & I have no confirmation of this.

If the lower tiers are into play-off mode as well, they probably go on the same dates as the Ekstra Liga. Thus, there could be no speedway - apart from Leigh Adam's testimonial - in Poland on 28 August, 2005.

Why are Zielona Gora allowed two foreigners?

Only 1 can ride in a given meeting.

Tarnow have Tony Rickardsson and now Scott Nicholls. Wroclaw have Hans Andersen and Antonio Lindback. But only 1 foreigner can ride for a team in a given meeting, except: Andy Smith (Torun) and Rune Holta (Czestochowa) who ride on Polish licences.

I am afraid you're wrong. They are both Polish citizens, i.e., hold Polish passports. So acording to the Law they are both Polish and have the same rights, and duties, as other Poles.

Strictly speaking, I wasn't wrong. They do both ride on Polish licences. Their holding a Polish passport is additional.
