Floppy is to sit out the World Cup his injury is no better and will not be riding for TEAM GB this will now pave the way for Bomber to step in.

Hope the Flopster is soon back on track and Good Luck to Bomber x

Its probably for the best! If there is ever a honest person who would rather give up his team place, so not disappoint the fans it would be Floppy. It sounds like one of these injures where all he needs is rest. (someone which doesnt come in demand at Speedway).

From what I can gather this has been his decision. Not one that has been an easy one to make. It's a real shame he's not riding as the fans have really taken to him I know I have since the Championship of Great Britain at Eastbourne, when he said "Middlo are you watching" his performance at that meeting paid off to show he was more than capable of pulling on a TEAM GB race jacket and "Doing the Business" for his country.

Hopefully the fact that he has sensibly taken time out to heal his injuries will make him stronger for the next series, he's a determined lad with a never give up attitude, Hopefully he will be back racing soon xxx All the Best Floppy and Hurry Back xxx

Just to let you know spoke to Floppy this morning when he stepped down he was devastated as he had set his heart on the World Cup as I had him being in it. I just hope he will get over this very annoying and worrying injury and be back in the saddle soon, it takes a big man to drop out of the World Cup but I always knew I would get the truth from Flop.Bomber as you can imagine was delighted with my phone call and I am sure he can do the job for team GB. And as you are all probably sick of seeing me saying "your country needs you" at Swindon!!

BE THERE!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the update Middlo.

Never mind Swindon matey I was on the phone giving Eurobillit a hard time this morning as my Race-Off and Final tickets haven't arrived yet!

Good luck to Bomber - who deserves it. But Floppy will be back. Of that I am certain.

Good luck to you you and the boys. I'll set aside my petty feelings about all things 'Bournemouth suburbs' and get 100% behind the GB.

With all due respect Middlo, you do look a bit of a goon on the back of the Speedway Star!!! :P

Gutted for Floppy, out of all the top Brit boys you really wouldn't expect him to pull out of riding for his country, so it must be serious, hope he is back in the saddle soon.

Also just heard on Sky that Lee R has been pulled out of Swindons match tonight with concussion, not looking good.

, but I'm sure it's not exactly the way he wanted his team place.

he doesnt really care. just glad to be in. was gutted to be left out in the first place cos he should have been there.

(when i say he doesnt really care i dont mean to offend anyone in any way. of course he cares about floppys fitness, he just doesnt care how he got the ride)
