Wroclaw World Cup

Recommended Posts

Due to a change of heart me and wifey are thinking of going out to the two main WC meetings in Wroclaw. We usually stay at the Novotel in the south of the city, but we were thinking of staying on site, depending on what sort of facilities they have (ie the state of the showers & toilets!).

Any info on the site would be most welcome,

thanks Gary

A Polish friend of mine stayed there on the weekend of the GP earlier this year and his description was not exactly complimentary tbh.

So, going on his comments I wouldn't advise it, but then you might be a braver man than me.

We're booked up into the Radisson for the weekend and have found that because it is the holiday season in Poland at the time of the World Cup most cities hotel prices are very reasonable.

Can anyone suggest a cheap way to get to Wroclaw from Manchester?

I'd like to go, but have overstretched my finances lately, and can't spend too much. And I don't really want to trek all the way down to Stansted either.

Sam.

Fly with BA to Berlin then hire a car and drive. Seems to be the only option from Manchester. Flights were about £150 last time i looked from Manchester. So may work out cheaper in the long run to drive down to Stanstead....

Try LOT airlines.

A few mates are on the early flight Thursday morning out of Manchester to Warsaw, and then connecting flight to Wroclaw. Back on Monday this time via Frankfurt.

Cost £152 + tax.

Try Wizzair who fly from Liverpool to Katowice, can sometimes pick up a nice bargain with them. Bus into Katowice then around 2/2.5 hours on the train from Katowice to Wroclaw.

Depends whether your priority is time or money I guess.
