Guest Shale Eater
Mikael Max will be the wildcard at the GP in Mallila, which I think is his home track. The reserves are Jonas Davidsson and Peter Ljung. I can understand Max and Davidsson being selected but why not Freddie Lindgren????? Steve Turner
I'd have had Peter Karlsson as the wildcard, but then I'd have had Lindgren at the Swedish GP earlier in the year (when he was flyin' !). Jonas D is a fair choice to spend the night in the pits, but it really should have been Lindgren given the other slot. Peter Ljung doesn't take speedway seriously...so it's a wasted experience. (Or maybe it'll be a wake-up call !) Anyway, a link to this GP's site...for those interested is HERE !
Bryn
Press Release released today states: "FIM SCANDINAVIAN SPEEDWAY GRAND PRIX SOLD OUT BSI, in conjunction with Målilla speedway club, today announced that tickets for both seating and standing areas at the FIM Scandinavian Speedway Grand Prix on 13 August are now sold out." So if you haven't got a ticket by now - tough!
Subedei
I guess the Swedes want to be there when TR makes sure of his 6th crown.
osn
Scandinavian Grand Prix, so is says, but only swedes as wild card and track reserves? I wonder why?
Subedei
Well, Holta was the "wild card" for the Swedish GP. It'd be a bit dodgy putting him in again now that he's a born again Pole.
