pirate paul
I know you all do not agree but wait and see. Pencya chassis do not make that amount of difference <{POST_SNAPBACK}> PENSKE frames may well make an awful lot of difference, but seriously I think the main difference is the man riding them. I expect you're also one of those people who assumes Lance Armstrong is on drugs because of his total Tour de France dominance.

panthers
Well Scott Nicholls he was so good until the semi.Who would of thought that he would be on top with 2 points in front at the end of the qulifying heats. He looked so fast not making the starts and coming from the back and winning. All he can do now is look back at tonight and in prove and then try to make the final in the last 3 grand prixs . Scott Nicholls 2005 British Champion. Some people love to put down a winner and love it ever more to put down the guys behind the winner who were not quite the winners, despite the fact they're still head and shoulders above many others (Nicholls and Richardson!!!) BritPete
Rickardsson will be just as motivated next year, have no doubts about that! The question is, can he go one better than Mauger? he could so easily have been looking at his 7th win right now, but, injury prevented him. Will he still be able to do it at the age of 35 next year? Only time will tell!
Subedei
The fact remains that Gollob's engine in a Jawa case was slow and his engine in a GM case is fast. And that engines, whoever rides them in the GPs, in a GM case are looking a lot faster than the Jawa ones. Bernie
Paul Pirate as you can see you are a pirate and not a FAN of the sport. I beleive we will wait and see. Time will tell and all the other riders will soon catch on to Tony's Formula. May be Frame or different engines. I am not sayint Tony deserve his win. What i am saying is that I personally do not like the new format. I have spoken to many people and feel it is a step backwards not forwards. We may see new regulations - if tony has something specail BSI will not want a repeat next year. As you all know the gates were down at Cardiff this year. Possibly due to the new format. Subedei
Rickardsson will be just as motivated next year, have no doubts about that! The question is, can he go one better than Mauger? Which makes you wonder about the last couple of years. Since the Krsko GP last year, TR has won 6 of the last 8 GPs.
rabbit
Paul Pirate as you can see you are a pirate and not a FAN of the sport. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Full marks to the clueless comment of the year award!!! Classic. Well I'll say my piece as i'm obviously not a fan of the sport either. Tony is just awesome this year. His personal issues of last year are out of the way, he has determination to make up for a poor (in his books) series last year, he's cut down on his meetings and the difference shows. He is not only beating guys on the track but off - ever thought he might have let Crumpie win the semi just to let Jason think he had the edge and then unleash the power. Not saying that's what happened but who knows... As for the Penske frames, well both Havvy and Kelvin said it - they've had a look and there are differences. Add to that Tony's testing of them and his Schuamcher -like feedback to his engine tuners and mechanics and what do you get? Remember this was a private enterprise that is only now allowing the Penske name to be used with it. For a long time last year, it seemed like they were holding back until it was fully proven and tested. So congrats to Tony and great to see dependable old Bjarne get 2nd. As for Scotty - I'm gutted for the bloke. One day he will do it. As for Anton... Pirates rider or not - what the hell was he doing?!!!!! ha en bra födelsedag
Lindback's fault without a doubt, and Crump does look slow! Easy to forget that Lindback is only 20 though! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Age has nothing to do with it! He's in with the big boys and he has shown he's good enough, he just doesn't seem in control of his machine all the time! A huge shame about Scotty, lets hope he can get in the final in the next gp! panthers
Well done to Tony for the win and with maybe a broken thumb.I Feel so gutted for scotty lets hope for the next gp we will be saying well done to scotty for the poduim
BritPete
Age has nothing do do with it! LOL, tell that to TR, he is a far better rider now than he was 10 years ago, why? because of his experience! Look at the way he went by Nicki tonight, not only did he get by, but, he also managed to stop Crump's inside run at the same time! That is what experience can do! Apart from completely contradicting yourself you are also saying that Tony didn't deserve his win because he was cheating using an oversize engine. Also I think you will find that this years GP had the biggest attendance so far. Oh, and its Pirate Paul How being a Poole fan makes me ''not a fan of the sport' I will think about for a while and get back to you.
Paddy The Rebel
Reason 1 - Tony won another round and is 12 points away from being world champion Reason 2 - I saw quite a lot of Poole Fans there Reason 3 - I put £5 each way on Bjarne Pedersen and Jarek Hampel , and i stand to earn about £
Subedei
Okay, a pretty good GP in the Golden City tonight. And didn't they hammer through it. No messing about and all wrapped up and in TR's bag before 9:00. There was some good racing, a bit of controversy and a touch of rain. My assessments of the individual riders are: L Adams: Almost made the semis, but didn’t. He didn't look on the pace all night and will surely be looking ahead to next season. But you begin to doubt that he'll ever be champ. H Andersen: A bit hopeless really. T Chrzanowski: A bit hopeless really. You can't see him being around next season and he'll probably not be missed. A decent rider, but not GP standard. A Dryml: A bit disappointing really, considering the form he's been in this season. But it's tough to come into the GPs as a Wild Card and be competitive. Of the Wild Cards this season, only Matej Zagar has shone. J Crump: Another disappointing night for the champ you feel. He made the final, but didn't look to have the pace all night. I suppose he should be pleased in the circumstances, but I doubt he is. T Gollob: At last Gollob looked on the pace, but he fell at the semi stage. Should be happy to be back on the pace and looking forward to the rest of the season. J Hampel: Another super GP performance from young Hampel. He'll be happy to have finished on the podium and surely it's only a matter of time before he gets onto the top spot. G Hancock: Won a heat, but pretty dreadful really. A Jonsson: A little unlucky not to make the semis. A couple of times his bike lifted costing him valuable places. A Lindback: A decent enough display from Lindback. S Nicholls: Last time I said he was a little unlucky, this time he was very unlucky. Or was he? He was sublime in the qualifiers, but again he fluffed the semi. It must've been soul destroying and it'll be interesting to see how he copes. B Pedersen: His good GP, bad GP run continued with a 2nd place. He'll be delighted with that, but he'll be wanting to break the sequence in the next GP. That's for sure. N Pedersen: Made the semis, but that's about it. Not a good GP for Nicki P. L Richardson: A bit hopeless really. Like Chrzanowski, he's not GP class. T Rickardsson: Same old same old from TR. Does enough in the qualifiers and semis and then wins the thing. Outstanding. R Sullivan: Started very well, faded, made the semis and then went out. He should be happy with his performance, but you wonder if he'll be around the GP circus next year. BobC
I trust all the Poo fans who wasted 20 odd pages slagging Nicki off will now do the same over Antonio Pedersen?.............................Nah, didn't think so. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Still nowhere near as blatant as Pedersens move on Ferjan the other week.Lindback rightly excluded.
