tigerblues
EXCELLENT! Well done Team GB.....all the guys have done us proud! First of all.....Lee Richardson. WOW! Well done Lee! Riding with a stomach bug was one thing.....but a 15 point maximum is just brilliant. His ride with Nicki when he passed him on the last bend was a good race, Lee put pressure on the Dane all the way through. But I still think it might have been a tactical move so Stekkers could bring in the Joker on one of his guys. Even still, anyone who can beat that Pedersen is a hero of mine Well done Lee, you've done yourself and the whole of GB proud! Simon Stead and Chris Harris were amazing. To go out like that and race against the big boys is incredible......an inspiration to many! After Dryml put Harris in the fence I expected a Brit-less race, but Bomber got up, borrowed a bike and got on with it. Steady was just fantastic, and it would be stupid to leave these 2 out of Saturday's final! Scott Nicholls and Joe Screen were also great. Scott was acting like a proper captain, greeting every rider after the race, congratulating them and making sure they're alright. A true captain's performance. After his first ride I totally lost faith in Screeny, thought he would be like that all through the night, but this guy proved me wrong! He was a credit to the team, picking up some vital points for us. Not only the riders kept us entertained, but Floppy was providing some quality commentary, him and Nigel kept us laughing all night. When he said the Danes could bring it on and he'd gladly have a fight with Nicki Pedersen if Nigel wanted him to had me in stitches. Would have preferred him out there in the GB colours, but if he can't this is the next best thing. Wonder if he'll do it regular when he retires? Well done Team GB, you've done everyone proud! Watch the race again. Nicki made a couple of dodgy turns, but there was no way he was letting Lee past deliberately. I've seen people let riders past in World Champs qualifiers etc, and it looks nothing like that. It wasn't particularly in Denmark's interests to do so either at that point in the match. Joanne
Well done Team GB for their performance last night. Must have as good a chance as any of the other teams of winning on Saturday. Simon Stead was just brilliant, a No 1 for Britain in the near future and as for Lee, how did he finish on so many points ? Can't wait until Saturday now. Noticed how many England flags were there. Now do I take my GB flag or Scottish one?

A mistake by Pedersen, a tactical move or a mechanical problem. I'd like to say the 1st one, but I don't think I'll ever know for sure. Another thing I'd point out.....I saw a huge group of Union Jacks and Engalnd flags, and guess what I saw, right in the middle of it? Yep, a Danish flag. Just had to laugh at it, wonder if the owner was actually Danish or a British traitor, like a friend of mine who I won't name
Addy
THAT WAS AWESOME!!! I think you had to be there, the atmosphere was incredible!! Going to watch the re-run on sky now. Good ole re-run Rico, working his good luck for a change. Deserved the 15 pointer, and the bumps that came with it. Watch this space for a picture of Steve Shovlar in a pink & sequinned hat, playing a blow-up guitar and holding a pom pom. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What a brilliant evening.Excellent view, excellent racing ans excellent company. I wasnt sure about attending this one but was going to watch it on TV. We were able to stand and cheer, dance boogie, play air guitar (badly apparently!) and generally have a brilliant time enjoying the celebrations of each heat win. Excellent package today - racing and entertainment. Well done Team GB Excellent company, excellent racing and entertainment. Well Done everyone & well done Midlo Just recovered from travelling home with the Mexicans, lol
richtea
Could I also add the British people stood next to me who were supporting the Danes. Why? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Probably the same reason for all the Swedish fans at the WTC final last year - they are ashamed to support their own country and prefer team loyalty over country
Silver Bee
IMO keep Steady, if Loram is deffinately fit and ready to ride then bring him in for Joe. I don't think it's fair at all to kick steady out after he rushes back from his holiday to score the same amount of points as Scott Nicholls. Iffoid
What a fantastic evening - all around - brilliant atmosphere and brilliant racing (shame about the bumps on the track but did have very poor weather this week & there was still a massive puddle on bend 1 Friday night) & it certainly added to the entertainment. Can't give high enough praise to the whole team - who all fought like lions and showed real courage P.S. On the Rico/Pedersen incident: Rico did exactly the same thing to him in the same place on the last lap in the league match a few weeks ago - pedersen made some mistakes and Rico capitalised : pure class. Think that the team needs to stay as it is - you don't break up a winning team (as Swindon fans know to their misfortune)
KevH
as for Lee, how did he finish on so many points? By winning all his races Jo. Now do I take my GB flag or Scottish one? Don't want to influence you Jo, but the one with the red on it would be better.

sjw ministerofport
Four GP stars and a track specialist and the team manager all in the hut shouting at the ref down the phone, for what they called was a wrong decision, not in my eyes. I'm British, and for once sensed that my optimistic and very proud love and patriotic being was going to witness something every Brit wanted to see. It was time for our rivals to start finding fault, to blame conditions to blame the ref, to not want to believe that maybe these Brits deserved to win. Sorry but the Brits tried harder took more risks, and when they bounced into the safety fence they got up and tried harder still. I like the Danes, i hope they do well in the run off meeting, i wouldn't want our lads to go to the final and face anything less the strongest teams that could be there. It was great to be at Swindon to take in the atmosphere. It was great to watch the Sky coverage last night. Floppy and NigelP were the stars of the night, and Keith Hewin seemed to have shouted himself horse and seemed to be shaking with joy. Sandie
Without putting too much of a downer on the great result on Sunday (I am sure Mr Dave Warner is still cheering the team win from his new resting place), can I draw peoples attention to the very sad news that happened to a fellow Bees fan before the Sunday meeting. http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/ind...showtopic=20408 I feel it is important to post this as this family needs our support today thank you. Stan
Could I also add the British people stood next to me who were supporting the Danes. Why? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My friend who is English was supporting the Danes!! I was not happy. Good job I won't be watching it with her on Saturday if the Danes get through! Murder could be commited! SCB
Could I also add the British people stood next to me who were supporting the Danes. Why? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That really annoys me. I am a Puk fan but even I cheered everything he was at he back (behind the Brits!) and I know Shortoi was shouting for Ales(?) Dryml when he was out against Charlie Gjedde and our rider was in the lead, just as we should do.
