Addy
The Mexicans will be setting up site on the 3rd bend, I am told. As Rosco was "Mexi-canned"* on Wednesday I am sure he will be pleased to see them What time is everyone getting there? * I expect this term to come into common usage - as did "grassy knoll"
KevH
I really fail to see why we have Super Joe and not steady We've got them both SC - Steady comes in to replace the injured Mark Loram.
AndyM
Forgive me if someone's already pointed this out, but I notice with interest in the Star that the Russians have a rider called Semen Vlasov riding. Bet you'll see him coming!

Subedei
Forgive me if someone's already pointed this out, but I notice with interest in the Star that the Russians have a rider called Semen Vlasov riding. Bet you'll see him coming! Sounds like an idea signing for Poole. But, remember everyone, it's an urban myth that "Captain Pugwash" contained characters called Seaman Staines and Master Bates. tomcat
Had considered going to this.. then saw the ticket prices.. News Flash for the BSPA/BSI and the FIM.. I am a speedway fan.. Not A Mug!! Thats £54 just to gain entry for my family.. then theres a programme, food.. oh and not to forget that all important item.. fuel to and from the meeting. Not much change from about £160.. if I'm lucky. No Thanks, I'll watch it at home on Sky.. Seems that I'm not the only one giving this a miss either owing to the extortionate prices.. I can live with about £13 for a league match plus programme, eats etc.. but £22 is ridiculous. Maybe if they had just put a couple of quid on top of normal prices.. say £15, then I would have gone. Anyway, rant over. GOOD LUCK TEAM GB.. stick it too 'em boys. Someone please remind Scotty before the meeting, NOT to stop for anything this year.. unless the ref actually walks out in front of him and holds his hand up to stop Scotty.. Good Luck to Bomber and Steady.. these guys are our future.. England Expects guys.. Ok Ok..Team GB expects..
Steve Shovlar
£22 is a bargain. Go watch Swindon Town FC and you will pay £23 for the priveledge and cheapest ticket.
rabbit
Don't think people would object so much to the prices if it wasn't for the fact that it's costing people around £8 in total to watch both the run-off on Thursday and the Final on Saturday! Plus, it's a couple of quid cheaper to watch the next round in Sweden on Tuesday. It is the World Cup, so it was always to be expected that prices would be higher than league racing, but come on, but they're taking the Michael making the first round almost 3-4 times the price of the final!! I'm another who will watch on TV. Might be many things but a mug ain't one of them!
Trees
And it's nothing to do with the BSPA this time, REMEMBER it's a BSI run meeting! Perhaps they've hiked the price because they don't expect a huge crowd, what was the supposed attendance in the equivalent meeting last season at Eastbourne? I went to that meeting, I'll be blowed if I can remember what I paid to get in tho ........... it's costing people around £8 in total to watch both the run-off on Thursday and the Final on Saturday! Can't really count that tho, it's only £8 because of our exchange rate. It's a tenner in the seating area for the race off and £20 for a seat for the final. AndyM
Good luck to the Brits. On paper they ought achieve at least the runner-up spot with ease, despite or maybe because of the inclusion of two form horses, though the Czechs might push them a bit. come on Steady, show what you can do! badge wearer
£22 how they can charge this much when the riders from 3 teams are the ones you see each week at swindon?do they think nobody has seen nicholls against pedersen etc! its a predictable meeting anyway 1st denmark 2nd england 3rd czech. then listen to sky commentry excuses about norris ,loram, not riding oh and of course lee richardsons mechanical nightmares.....! KevH
Perhaps they've hiked the price because they don't expect a huge crowd, There's some reverse logic there somewhere I guess Trees.
Trees
There's some reverse logic there somewhere I guess Trees. Well I got the logic, it woman's logic 6000 x £10 = £60,000 with 100,000 watching at home 3000 x £22 = £66,000 with 103,000 watching at home There you have it

Because it is £10 for a 3 year old. £22 for an adult is bad enough.
