hullangel
Strange that, I was talking to Brian Loakes, [ex Hull rider of the seventies] last week at Craven Park. And i mentioned Ian Thomas, and Brian said.........HUH! Must be catching??????? Edited July 3, 2005 by hullangel
Subedei
Yeah I think I heard that some where along the line they had a fallout. From memory, Brian Larner bailed out of his partnership with Ian Thomas mid-way through Newcastle's ill-fated British League season in 1984. craigischambers
Hello, I am Brian Larner's grandson and just wanted to let you know he is still alive and well and wants to let you know that he was never a taxi driver!! I am afraid, did a short stint driving HGV's, but now spends most of his time buying and selling yachts in Puerto Banus, the lucky sod.. Cheers
spiegal
Hello, I am Brian Larner's grandson and just wanted to let you know he is still alive and well and wants to let you know that he was never a taxi driver!! I am afraid, did a short stint driving HGV's, but now spends most of his time buying and selling yachts in Puerto Banus, the lucky sod.. Cheers The BIG MAN was wonderful company.....he and Ian were magical, but it went horribly wrong and Ian got left with most of the Newcastle debts, which ended up with him losing his house. The fall out was monumental..and Ian was understandably very bitter.....Brian was amazing company a genuinely larger than life guy. It's good to know the old boy is flogging yachts in the sunshine...that sounds like him...he would make a brilliant subject for Tony mac..send his my fond wishes..JAMES EASTER.
