home straight
So far in this years series, apart from a certain Mr Rickardsson, the real stars of the show have been the youngsters. Antonio, Bjerre, Zagar and NKI have all impressed, KK didn't do as well as he'd have liked, but will surely be there very soon. It is fantastic to see the next generation stepping up to the plate and mixing it with the seasoned pros, the future is looking very bright indeed, and I beleive the GP will go from strength to strength. All we need now is a couple of young brits to step up and we'd be laughing.
Subedei
Not forgetting a certain Jaroslaw Hampel. He looks to be the pick of them.
Bernie
Hampel has been excellent this year. I think Nicholls will come good but needs another year. I think Kenneth Bjerre was excellent when he had a go at the GP. I cannot see any British Rider breaking through at present only oversea's Riders. I think us british fans will have to be patient and wait to see how Eddie gets on. No pressure though
andy moore
Why isnt Zagar in it now- i know because he rides in the premier league, its about time they got rid of this closed shop Gollob and Sullivan should be out next year for starters-maybe only keep the top 10 in that would good to see. Pinstripe
He is better than Sullivan now, Sullivan is rubbish nowadays. No way is he better than Gollob though!
Jason.C
i have also enjoyed seeing the youngsters moving up. its going to be very strange when the likes of crump, rickardsson, adams and sullivan etc finally pack it in.

No way is he better than Gollob though! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sullivan is still an 8-9 point EL rider. I doubt Zagar could do that at the moment, due to his lack of gating ability - just look at his Swedish EL form. Some Reading fans think Matej is Mr wonderful because he wins with ease in the PL, but I don't think these same fans realise how quick and a top gater you have to be to suceed at EL level. I know Zagar did well in the Slovenian GP, but that was his own track.
Jason.C
think zagar would be a solid 6/7 pointer in the elite.
Liesdale
think zagar would be a solid 6/7 pointer in the elite. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would agree. There is no doubt he is an awesome motorcyclist, and at PL level he can make up for his poor starts, but will have to change things to be a top EL & GP rider. sjw ministerofport
Yes young guns are showing their colours and its great. Having five rides make their situations better. Its the Tony show this year but theirs plenty of interest watching the young ones improve.

BTW no way will BSI drop Gollob with 2 G.Ps in Poland.
DavidH
zagar would be an instant 9 ave in the elite. He p**sed all over sullivan two years ago, did the same this year in the slovenian gp, aswell as gollob. Not to mention his guesting for peterborough at arena, scroed 8, on track he's never seen, and isn't the easiest to ride by any means. Imagine what he'd do when he knew the tracks. Sullivan is pretty useless lately, even though i do like the guy.
pugwash
Zager would do O.K as a second stringer, 6 point average at best. The "proper" Matej would wipe the floor with him in the E.L (Arena and B.V excluded) p.s Arlington excluded also as we will run R/R.
Subedei
Only the top 8 stay in next year, the other 8 are nominated. Only 7 are nominated. The 16th rider is a Wild Card. I think Sullivan will struggle to be around next year, together with Nicholls, Richardson and Chrzanowski. But Tomasz Gollob will be okay, not least because, lowly as his current standing is, his "banker" GP at Bydgoszcz is still to come. And few would dismiss the Pole at Bydgoszcz. A win there and he'd shoot up the standings.
andy moore
CHRZANOWSKI How did he qualify for gps this year
Subedei
The same way Lindback did - he qualified. Unlike Nicholls, Andersen, BP, Sullivan and Richardson, who all relied on the charity of BSI and the FIM. Don't knock Chrzanowski, he's there on merit. pugwash
Thought that the wild card was being dumped next year.

How can any title mean anythink when you pick and choose who rides if snooker say had these rules shawn murphy would never have been world champion he would have been waiting ten years for an invite as jimmy white would have always been pick in front of him
SCB
I think Nicholls will come good but needs another year. Are we still using this one? It was said about 5 years ago, then 4 years ago, then 3 years ago, 2 years ago and it was used last year. By the time he retired he may have been a top 8 GP rider at some point in his career.
