Subedei
Did anyone else notice the Coventry fairies in the coverage? I'd guess it was the fairies and ZKZ Kitten. I know she was going to the GP with the fairies. Lets hope they had a great time and that the Kitten didn't get too excited when Lee Richardson won the 1st heat. home straight
Bernie, Fair enough, sorry if I offended you, but please read the forum guide lines, it asks you to type properly and use a spell check if you're unsure. As for the Sun, it's hardly likely to be 100% reliable, and if it is, so what? His bikes will still be subject to scrutineering. Edit. gutted. you got me! Subedei
Surely the FIM machine examiner would pick up on an "oversize" engine?

Gemini
I don't wish you to feel like I'm pukking you apart, but, typing without using any punctuation makes it difficult to read. I can't understand why Bernie is posting like this tonight because if you read her other posts she is perfectly understandable and her punctuation and spelling are good. Perhaps I'll just give them a miss tonight as I can't understand them. Normal service resumed tomorrow no doubt.
Guest Jim Blanchard
Surely the FIM machine examiner would pick up on an "oversize" engine? They would; only if an official protest was made. It is quite simple to check and would not involve the complete stripping of an engine. I am sure that this is pure speculative banter and not based on actual fact. Tony Rickardsson has proved that he can dial his machine into the track conditions and ride it accordingly. Normally, an FIM protest would reguire a fee to justify it, and if found to be negative said fee would be lost. He is the best rider that gets the best out of his machine. Simple really. He is the best rider that gets the best out of his machine. Simple really. That would be my reading of the situation as well. It's not just about the tuning or Tony's ability aboard the bike, it's about Tony's ability to read the track and give accurate feedback to the team he has, to ensure that the bike is set perfectly for the conditions as he wants to race them. The guy also seems to be more focussed, and has taken a step well ahead of the opposition so far this year. I think he deserves total respect for his domination in the first few GPs, not unlike that other motorcycle legend, Valentino Rossi. Motorcycle racing fans are living in a golden age for watching true greats in action, and should just sit back and enjoy it rather than complaining about the series almost being over already!! It's the all-round professionalism of the Rickardsson set-up that is head and shoulders above the rest. There are others around with a broadly similar level of natural talent, maybe a couple with more, but no one comes close to the professionalism of TR. He's been outstanding in the GPs this season. Interestingly, the toilet is still better than Ryan Sullivan, Lee Richardsson and "Chazza Nofski" Will be interesting to see how Ales Dryml gets on in Prague. If he's got his right head on, he could be among the points. He's having an outstanding season. Edited June 25, 2005 by Subedei
superjoe
Been a fan of TRick since 93 when I saw him win at Voyens ( I was there), and won't change now, even if he rode for BV, god forbid. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> fair enough. Well done to the 2005 world champion Tony Rickardsson
cappy
Any insinuating that TonyR is cheating, with regards his engine, I know from experience tha twit won't be the case. I have raced at a very low level in motorsport and even there they are very stringent on scruiteneering. There is absolutely no chance that he will be cheating mechanically without being caught. The rules are checked very rigidly the higher up the levels you get and there is no chance he is getting away wilth any kind of rule-breaking, seriously, so let's stop mentioning that! Do you think if any of the other GP guys believed there was even a slight doubt of mis conduct they wouldn't be all over it, yet it's never mentioned - the reason - TR is NOT cheating - he is going to be the 2005 legitimate champ! Just because he is so much better than everybody else does not mean he is cheating or bending the rules. TR and his mechs are just producing the best package by far. Let's not critisise him, let's critisise the rest who can't keep up and congrtaulate TRick, however much we may not want to. He is just having a blinder, and that's coming from a big Crump fan!
