I'll assume that what he said wasn't very interesting then.

 

He said that he hadn't been involved with speedway since the 60s, when he used to provide some commentaries. Also said he was enjoying the GP and the noise was as loud and atmosphere as good as anything he has experienced (or something to that effect).

 

Also had the "savvy" to notice that the 3 British riders were in the same heat for their final ride (unless someone had pointed that out to him :o )

It would be nice to imagine him storming into the office of the head of BBC Sport and demanding to know why the BBC continue to ignore this fantastic sport.

 

only problem is that he left the BBC last year - hence the fact that he no longer does football commentatires for them - and works as a freelance now

I sent an email up to C4 complaining that they'd moved the Speedway slot to early morning mid-week, about 10 days after each meeting. They took a while to reply, but said they'd pass the feedback on. I on;y have terrestrial TV. The C4 coverage of the British GP was good - some excellent racing too.
