dublin duke
Apologies if I am repeating something which has been covered elsewhere on the forum, but I watched the Sky coverage on Sunday when I got home and - once again - was so impressed with everything about David Norris both performance and attitude. The interviews which Floppy gave to Sophie/Greenie demonstrated to me, once more, what a genuine guy the man is. His comments about all the other riders being "afraid" of riding against him at the beginning made me laugh out loud. And his attitude in the interview with Sophie following his fabulous heat win again demonstrated to me what an honest and genuine bloke he must be. His obvious delight at the adulation of the crowd is also fantastic to see. There are no airs and graces about him. He seems to me to be the most honest guy in the sport, and one who is always ready to be self critical if he believes himself to be at fault. I'm sure some of you guys on the forum must know him. Am I correct? As we were travelling over for the GP I asked my 12-year-old son who he thought would win "definitely Rickardsson, maybe Crump" he replied. When I asked him who he would like to win, without hesitation he replied "Norris". Says it all to me.
Hazzman
Personally I want him in the GPs and Richardson out.
tomhaines
Gotta agree with hazzman. Get Floppy in there instead of Richardson. And get Sullivan and Chrzanowski out as well. 15 for next year? in no order Rickardsson Jonsson Lindback Crump Adams Pedersen N Pedersen B Andersen Hampel Gollob Nicholls Hancock Norris Zagar Kasprzak Would have picked Iversen, but even Ole Olsen cant get 4 Danes in it! Subedei
And get Sullivan and Chrzanowski out as well. Think that's a little unfair on Chrzanowski. I'm sure that BSI and the FIM would have preferred he hadn't qualified, but he's certainly not disgracing himself in the GPs.
Finchy
The new improved Norris is indeed one of the best, however, let's not forget what he once was
Brightonbob
Floppy is a super bloke for sure. I've met him a few times and my company is now one of his sponsors. You won't find a bigger Norris fan than me, but he's got to step up and he knows it. He did OK in the GP considering he only had four races, but not good enough to persuade BSI to make the change in next years GP yet. He has to show what he can do in the SWC and the Championship of GB to get in there on merit. Its a mark of the man that he wouldn't have it any other way. judgejules
Floppy is great, one of the sports true characters, got his act together without losing his personality. I admire all speedway riders but ones that bank 30lb+ carp are the tops. Hazzman
If any Danes drop out, it will ended up being Bjarne because hes an uncolourful character. Then it would be a toss up between Iversen and Bjerre. The probelm is you are always going to get at least 2 riders from each major speedway nation. BSI would lose interest and television deals as Holta's selection at Eskilstuna tells us. However at the current from of certain riders for next year the line-up is going to be very young. sjw ministerofport
If Floppy managed to some how get picked for a full GP place i would be ecstatic, i am sure there would be a larger crowd at Cardiff also.

jimmy smith
As i have said before Richardson will be in next years GP series due to the amount of sponsorship he brings to the series. The only change I would expect is Kasprzak to replace Chrzanowski and Zagar to replace a rider if one pulls out of GP racing Billy Hamill Style. Finchy
I obviously have can you refresh my memory please <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No. If you're asking the question then I haven't the time for an "Ermolenko's a top bloke so lay off" or "Henning's the best reserve in the EL" type argument Edited June 16, 2005 by Finchy
