So there was more grumpy people in the stadium too! Family stood next to us didnt say a word to each other all night just had a programme and a pen  Whereas we had 3 union jacks and 2 st georges flags and 3 air horns between us

What moody people. What was the point in them going if they weren't going to enjoy themselves?!

When we go, we cheer on anyone who looks impressive and simply enjoy ourselves, whoever's winning.

Great GP!

Meeting held under the control of well known incompetent Marek Wojaczek, who continued to dumbfound everyone with his nonsensical decisions.

The British riders flopped.

The winner (and 2005 World Champion) snubs British speedway.

Ditto the runner up.

The Peoples Champion is wrongly excluded twice by the aforementioned referee and thus the series is now over. (I bet BSI are over the moon with the anticipated lost revenue and are working on next years scoring system as we speak).

Great GP??????

Fireworks and crowd were good.

Regarding the Swedes, I think I know who you were talking about, in an Irish bar after the meeting a bunch of Swedes (around 15) one with a clap hands hat and a couple with a giant flag came in shouting Rickardsson and the one bloke (who despite being legless had better English than most of the Brits) said the police had threatened to arrest him!

Yes this is the group of swedish fans. The stadium are now looking in to the matter. Its a shame that I know the big cheeses in the stadium, who are not taking this matter or all the rest as a joke.

I'm sorry as well I may have upset alot of you as I have it from one of the managers of the stadium that all bag must be checked. This is due to bombs or things that can hurt others.

I have the quote from one of them as "Good luck if you can get a bottle on to the track from the stands." He feels that drinking bottles are aloud, just not beer as they sell that and make alot of money on it.

Just a brilliant weekend altogether. Five speedway meetings in 5 days :approve: Why does it have to go so quick  Met loads of lovely forum members, had enough alcohol intake for a week . Great hotel, would recommend the Big Sleep. Can't wait until next year now :)

Hahahaa!!

The People's Champion? You think Crump is more popular than TRick? Dream on!

I would say TRick fans outnumber Crumps two to one at least. The best rider in the world and because he is such a nice guy, with huge support as well.

The ref made one poor decision with Crumps first exclusion. all the rest were spot on. I have never read such a bunch of whingers as on the BV site. Makes hilarious reading.

Face it. Crump is not in the same league as TRick. It should have been 4 out of 4 but for N Pedersen's charge into Bjarne. TRick well in the lead. I don't reckon Crump will even finish second this year. A beaten man, and his tantrum showed him for what he is. A Ginger Whinger!

I thought it was a truly great GP, and the best yet. :D

Cant say as a GP that it was the best ive seen at cardiff on reflection, a poor track that while it didnt rut up didnt really give create much in the way of racing.

Ref didnt have a good night as said previously and Crumps demise will no doubt mean lower crowds in the next few rounds.

Tbh thought that based on watching ppl on saturday that its was 50:50 as far as Trick and Jason go if you go by wearing merchandise and it seemed Nicki P had a bigger strop than Crumpie.

Crump is more popular than Trick, British fans applaud him on a weekly basis. Same cannot be said of Trick.

You would say TRick fans outnumber Crumps two to one at least, because you ALWAYS get it wrong.

The best rider in the world according to the offical FIM records is the current World Champion. The Peoples Champion, Jason Crump. It’s not yet been officially taken from him.

Nice insult with regards the Aces fans and site. True to form. Waste of bandwidth though.

Face it. Crump is not in the same league as TRick. Correct, Crump rides in the Elite league. The SO popular TRick has turned his back on his adoring British fans. Bit of a kick in the teeth as I see it.

It was an interesting GP, and like I said the crowd was good. I had fans from Brazil, Sweden and Denmark all near me, judging from their flags. Strange coincidence that the national dish for all three nations is whelks. I think so anyway as they were tucking into them at every opportunity. Kept getting dirty looks when cheering for the BRITISH born rides in the meeting. Being a Belle Vue fan it’s just what we do, very patriotic us Aces fans.

Hmm..I don't think he's alienated fans by not riding in the EL. It's certainly not done Tomasz Gollob or Jarek Hampel any harm in the popularity stakes judging by the appluase they were getting through the meeting!

Think if there was any reason for any muted response (and I can't say I noticed it where I was sat) was the incident with Floppy. Haven't seen it again yet on TV but didn't think it any more or less than incidents I've seen a hundred times over at tracks around the country. How most people who have never ridden a speedway bike can judge whether a rider has gone down too easy is beyond me! And before anyone yelps about my loyalties I was cheering Floppy on as much as anyone - Brits first favourites second!!

For such a ‘popular’ rider the boos rang loud and clear after his first race ‘accident’.

The crowd was certainly the most muted I have witnessed in all the British GPs in acclaiming the champion.

There is no doubt that Rickardsson has alienated a lot of his loyal fans by snubbing the British speedway public for the majority of this season.

 So he didn't offer his services to British Speedway, when British rider Mark Loram was injured earlier this season then?

If Tony's "alienated" a lot of his loyal fans by snubbing the British Speedway public, does that mean that Hampel, Chrzanowski, and Gollob have too?

Offer ............ thought he was asked to and "it fitted in with his plan"?

Yes, of course! They won't have the support of the british fans as they would if they rode over here!
