startline sid
Having now watched Crumps first exclusion on TV, I think he was hard done by. A better decision would have been all 4 back. However, from where we were sitting it looked that Crump was the cause and should have been excluded. Ref did a good job overall though and was consistant all night. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> hate to say it but I entirely agree
Subedei
Polish referees make decisions. They don't automatically put all 4 back for a 1st bend fall. And I think this is the referee crucified for bringing all 4 back in the Hancock-Pedersen incident in Prague last year. He wasn't going to do that again. Maybe he should've on a few occasions. But everyone would still have complained about something.
avenger
The decisions in heats 4 and 6 looked horrible in the stadium and they look even worse watching the replay now. People want to see good hard racing, they don't want to see riders throwing themselves on the floor and benefiting from their cheating. Rickardson and Andersen both got 3 points when they should have got none, how many others are now going to copy their tactics?
avenger
And just listened to Andersen's post-race interview, he said that he 'decided' to go down and mentioned the Rickardson incident.
Subedei
Watch last year's British GP and hear his thoughts on Rune Holta. You might end up thinking of a word something like hypocrite.

You say from where you were sat that Crump should have been excluded, but you would have seen the replays in the giant screen that the whole stadium saw, but I presume that wasn't enough to convince you at the time? Only Shovlar and the ref thought he should have been excluded for that first incident. Now you come on here and try to redeem yourself. I suppose you were only joking with your original bitter post. Rickardsson is a class act and is a worthy leader so far, but you have to admit he does get more than his fair share of luck when he needs it. lango
the referee must of been watching different meeting, terrible decisions against crump
JT
Funniest moment of the day was Stonehewer coming blazing up the stairs by us and jesturing at the ref, he was subsequently dragged down by the officials and asked to sit down! Phoenix
Crump may well lose his title this year (though Rickardson does look to be the Man this year) all due to the first exclusion. After that he was always going to have to take risks & those otherswere fair decisions but caused by the first howler. I have warmed to the ginger one in the past couple of years. You see those duff decisions (though normaly of the cop out variety) in football all the time. Player who should have been sent off for putting a player from the other team out of a game, then goes on to score the winner. Crumpy will be having to take even more risks/half chances. The sun does shine on Tony, but he looks to be the best, pity there probably is no near challenger unless he is injured. He looks to be a sponsors dream. Wish I was there, maybe next year... I just didn't understand the decision he made when Hans Anderson went down, just what did Jason Crump do wrong? Guest Hans_Kicks_Ass
Rune is not a hipacrite!!!!! You obviously no nothing about him!!! He was carrying a VERY bad neck injury into that meeting and all the way through last year so sorry if he was a bit easy when going down! Last year he complained that Holta came off easy and yet he did the same himself this year.
Guest Hans_Kicks_Ass
oh rite sorry then!! lol it's just people always say stuff about Rune being a hipacrite and falling off really easy but he doesn't!
salty
I agree, I think it is an unfair reputation which stemmed from Andersen spouting off at Cardiff last year. Hope Rune gets back in the GP's for next year.

Last year he complained that Holta came off easy and yet he did the same himself this year. Yes, that was the point I was making. Although, given the name Hans_Kicks_Ass, I doubt that'd go down well either. But Andersen's comments last year were along the lines of the sport turning into a "democracy" where you fall off easily and get back into the race at the expense of a decent, fair, hard-riding opponent. He so could of stayed up. Tony let his leg go. But he managed to stay up when he lost control of his bike a bit later on! Everyone was booing him after that, apart from this Tony fan lol should of seen the gestures made behind his back. Made me giggle Lovely to meet the fairys once again, oh how did you find me lol! Mick Dundee
Just got back from a great weekend, and the first thing I want to say is I was disgusted with the ref last night, he was consistently awful in his treatment of Crumpy and thats all you can say. The last exclusion was right and Jason held his hands up, but the first two were a case of going down far too easily and what should have been all 4 back. I hope luck evens itself out in some way for Jase because that could lose him the championship and it shouldnt be because of an awful referee. pirate paul
The difference was Floppy DID touch Trick, albeit not that hard. It was enough to throw Tony off line, he would have got no points anyway so he might as well have laid it down. He's certainly not the first rider to do it and he's deinately not the last. Hans Andersen on the other hand went down of his own accord, Grumpy didn't get within six inches of him, and then to roll around on the track like he did was disgusting. I'm no Crump fan but that was one of trhe worst decisions I hasve seen at a speedway meeting. Andersen has gone even further down in my estimations. He really is a dirty, cheating little s**t
