Vincent Vega
This referee tonight is having a stinker. Hancock should have been excluded left Crump no room. Andersen should have been excluded for going down quicker than Ruud Van Nistelrooy and he is holding the tapes for ages aswell. Oh well least he is making it interesting with his decisions which is more that can be said for the racing.

BritPete
The referee is poor, no question about it, BUT I do not thing that he had any other option than to exclude Crump on the second occassion, Crump kept doggedly to the outside, and he payed then price, there is no way anyone else could have been excluded here! The first crump exclusion though, was absolutely appalling, and I just hope the ref gest excluded!
Subedei
Some tough decisions to make tonight. Was it just me, or did this GP have more incidents than all the others put together? I thought Crump's 1st and 2nd exclusions were harsh. And I agree with VV - Hancock should have gone in the 2nd. If it were Nicki P everyone would be crying that it was a "no brainer". Lindback lives dangerously at the tapes - he was excluded once and suckered Hancock into them in his 2nd ride. The referee was poor, but why so many incidents when the other GPs have had so few? Richspeedway
Why did the ref also leave the tapes for so long?? Maybe Middo wanted the two reserves to have ago tonight when people got excluded touch them
Subedei
Might be time to think about having the tapes on a pre-set timing. Like in F1. The referee puts the green light on and then a set time later (obviously not always the same time) the tapes go up.
tarabanko
The same ref was in charge in Eskilstuna and he holded the tapes for long there to. Some decisions the ref maked tonight was really bad, shame to these lads who are paying lots of £££££££££ to be in the gp and then be excluded then theyd shouldnt. Euan
Got to back the referee here, he was under pressure and dealt with the meeting well... PFFFF... What a joke he was today, great credit must go to the riders because despite the referee's poor performance, they still managed to make it THE best Speedway meeting I've seen in my short viewing career... Custom House Kid
Crump kept doggedly to the outside, and he payed then price, <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Perhaps he should have tried the Rickardson line!

Maddas69
But they wouldn`t complain about the referee holding the tapes too long if there was a pre-set time !!! The referee was poor yesterday, but when it comes to holding the tapes he was VERY good. The rules say that all 4 riders shall stay completely still before he releases the tapes. So the riders who are standing still are punished for the crimes of the riders who are moving at the tapes. It is only a matter of time before the riders start using this even more as a tactic, after all you can just move a bit for a second or so, and then stand still, and you are sure the tapes will rise (like Lindbäck tried in his first heat) Anyone noticed how far Hampel was from the tapes in every heat ? Poor starting marshall.......... Wouldn't work the riders must be still at the tapes! <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Guest Hans_Kicks_Ass
apart from holding the tapes for a stupid amount of time i think the ref was good! and nobody falls down quicker than Ruud! that just takes the p*ss How the hell is Hans supposed to stay up when he gets his leg and hip knocked!? Crumpy deserved to get excluded! It made me so happy he didn't make the semi's! on a better note how good was Bjarne!!!!!!! I was so proud of him! hehe I didnt think he was going to be the same after his crash but he came back sooo well!
Silver Bee
If a conference league matche's tapes were held for that long there would be 4 bikes that would have gone through the tapes.
Steve Shovlar
Having now watched Crumps first exclusion on TV, I think he was hard done by. A better decision would have been all 4 back. However, from where we were sitting it looked that Crump was the cause and should have been excluded. Ref did a good job overall though and was consistant all night.
