tomazpozrl
Anyone got the "heat-times" ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sure Garf, I have most of the heat times. The track was very quick early on and we also saw two new track records. Zagar's old record was 66.16. Jason Crump was the first to go under 66 seconds in heat 2 (65.94), but then Leigh Adams in heat 3 set a new, amazing, record of 65.61. After heat 8 heat times got constantly worse, and by the end of the meeting, the riders were doing heat times of around 68 + seconds. Subedei
Poor old Sky commentary team seemed to miss the changing track record. Matej Zagar was still track record holder come the final according to Millard and Sam.

AndyM
Having missed the GP due to being away for the weekend, it doesn't sound as good as the previous one. Shame Crumpie wasn't well - the result makes it tough for the rest to compete. Congrats to Zagar; he certainly used the format to his advantage. Notice too criticism of young Ken's progress from the usual crowd, but it seems he came above a certain A Lindback and B Pedersen. Keep at it lad - you'll show 'em on! pugwash
Just got back from the G.P last night. This was my 3rd time at Krsko and could probably be the last. 20 heats of absolute boredom only broken by new track record by first Crump then Adams. Can't believe that this was missed by Sky. The semis and final were pretty exciting topped off by a brilliant win by Trick but overall wished that I had stayed at home. Still can't believe that track. It's the best speedway track that I've ever seen apart from Hyde Road but produced poor racing. Was it "Olsenism" or a cock-up by the Krsko track staff? A few really fast heats then total boredom. Another strange feature, the meeeting was completely lacking in atmosphere, maybe due to the low Polish turnout. Back straight Krsko not exactly back straight Bydgoszcz!
