Dark Horse
well at least there are 3 brits in with a chance, would have loved it to be kennet, but finishing behind wright in his ride may have sealed him as a reserve. but hey as long as there are a couple of brits, i will be cheering them on. rabbit
Sorry for being dense here, but it's late and being female I'm allowed at least one dodgy moment a week, but how many qualify from this meeting? Congrats to Toninho and great to see a couple of Brits getting through to the Final. : Edited June 18, 2005 by rabbit
tomazpozrl
Best 7 qualify from this meeting. By the way - apparently the meeting was another Toninho show !!! He was in a class of his own. Here is the description of the big final from the live updates site : " Miedzinski took lead, Bjerre was 2nd and Lindback 3rd. Lindback was trying very hard to pass the opponents and was almost riding on the fence. And then on the last lap he passed both Bjerre and Miedzinski at the same time !!! FANTASTIC RIDE !!! " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes it was an unbelievable ride but he came down and was excluded in his last ride . Still went on to win the final though. Congrats to Wrighty ("any tomato ketchup with it ??" --private joke from the few days we were all together at Armando Castagna's!!) and bad luck on Ed with only 7 qualifying from this semi. Must admit never finished a speedway meeting so late --and so hot!! With two Americans to look after in the end with Brian Yarrow getting five rides due to two riders pulling out, as well as Chris Kerr , it was a bit hectic but enjoyable!! sliderman
what about young chris holder's effort, his score doesn't represent his meeting ,came from behind in heat oneto finish 2nd,lead hlib and Klecha only for his plug lead to break in ht 2 ,nearly beat rempala and was leading king, lingren and schramm only to fall through a bit of inexperience ,the boy is 17 and has rode a handful of meetings in his homeland, should be a future prospect for the aussies
