SCORPIO
Hi Guys & Gals, Well, here we are, 11th June already.....come round quick hasn't it. Those poor souls that have to travel to/from Cardiff by train, if you are travelling as a group of 3 or 4 Adults, Don't foget to ask for Groupsave. With Groupsave a party of 4 travel for the price of 2 and a party of 3 get approx 1/3 per ticket per person. I've had a word with a colleague at work and it appears everything is running OK at the moment except as follows............. Due to Engineering Works, Buses replace ALL trains in both directions between Newport & Hereford on Saturday 11 & Sunday 12 June 2005 Scorps Edited June 11, 2005 by SCORPIO
SCORPIO
Rail Passengers.....Please Note....... On days when major events are being held at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Cardiff Central station obviously gets extremely busy, and crowd control measures are in place, both before and after the event. This means that we operate a queuing system after the event, and put other restrictions in place. Customers are specifically advised to take note of the following points: After the event admittance to Cardiff Central will be limited for safety reasons and a queuing system will be in place. The queuing area is open to the elements and toilet facilities are not available in this area. Left Luggage facilities are not available at Cardiff Central Station for security reasons Customers with special assistance should speak to the stewards on queues in order to gain assistance in accessing the platforms. In addition, we suspend all seat reservations for all trains leaving Cardiff Central station after the event, and importantly, spaces on trains for return journeys are on a first come first served basis. If you need special assistance at these times, please speak to the stewards who will help you get to the platforms.

SCORPIO
I have been told the last trains FROM Cardiff Central TO Newport are as follows.... 2220 & 2330. There MIGHT be trains also at 2240 & 2300 but none of the system can confirm this eg.. ATW website and Internal Railway Systems. Mylor
Too late for this year I know but I did speak to a couple of Weymouth supporters who use the trains from Newport every year. I too was a little worried about the number of trains out of Cardiff after the event. They told me not to worry as they always organise some specials and to look for the guys in yellow jerkins who'll tell us where to go. Spot on. We all piled on to the 4-coach 11.00 special....Job done. Thanks Wildcats.

The annoying thing was the train stopped and we had the door right by us, IT WOULDNT OPEN!!!!! A well.
