EdwardKennettRacing
Nicki Pedersens move on Bjarne was indefensible as was his lack of concern for the fellow countryman that he had just fenced. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He didnt fence Bjarne! They was going for the same bit of track! Nicki saw a gap and went for it and unfortunatly Bjarne came off!
AndyM
He went into the corner too fast. Still lacks judgement and maturity, or he'd have bided his time in the certain knowledge that he would get past by the 4th bend.
ezekiel
How I hate B Pedersen. I had £5 on N Pedersen to win at 6/1, and by laying down his bike after minimal contact it cost me £35. It was clear that Nicki had the pace to catch both Crump and Rickardsson, if only Bjarne hadn't of cheated... And don't any of you try and defend Bjarne over this, he's turning into another Holta!!! Dekker
Nicki is the EL version of a SCUD missile, very quick, very brave but minimal control.

Supporters will more often than not wear rose tinted glasses when it's one of their riders involved in controversy. I'm not having a go, it's just that I can understand people showing loyalty (no matter how controversial an incident is!). I'm the same with Hans!!! Guest Jim Blanchard
In speedway in its entire history there are always many incidents of this type because of the nature of the sport, (often it says on the ticket - Motor Sport is Dangerous - and that’s just for spectators.) and it will always be the case. Having seen it several times from different angles in my opinion NP did not appear to go off line drastically, and BP did try to close the gap. Ultimately NP accepted the blame and the decision. Fortunately, neither rider was injured so what more can be said or done? What I find hard to accept so called 'speedway fans' criticising riders and insulting them for going out there and trying their hardest to achieve success (Scott Nicholls was heart broken at not making the semis and had to be consoled by Middlo) in a very competitive sport at the highest levels, and that they would not be able even 'to turn left' if they were stuck on a speedway bike. If it was any of us that their son or daughter came last in an egg and spoon race would we be happy if someone called them 'a waste of space'? These guys are human and have feelings, as do their friends and relatives the same as everyone else… At the end of the day, not everyone can win, be superstars or whatever. As in any sport there will be winners and losers. I think we ought to give them the credit and respect for taking part. Win or lose all riders at what ever their ability level is, risk their lives almost daily to entertain us.
ezekiel
Spot on - I never thought that a speedway supporter could talk so much sense (or, to be honest, any sense at all!!!)!

andy moore
I had a fiver on Rikardsson- he must be cheesed off to have lost it in the rerun when so far out front in the 1st running, and what a joke to exclude Jonsson when it was obvious that Lindback was the guilty party.Shame on scotty hope he learns from his mistake as well. SuzieQ
time to take off those rose tinted glasses me thinks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well try this one then! I am from Poole, and it is well noted over the years my feelings regarding Nicki YET last night watching the final and the number of re-runs thereafter I believe that it was just a racing incident! Nicki went for a gap, and let's face it you got have got a double decker bus through that gap once Crumpy had taken Bjarne wide! Bjarne knew that Nicki was coming under him so turned back to stop the challenge, however Nicki was already there and they clashed! Nicki accpeted the blame with a smile as no doubt he has come to terms with being the villan of speedway these days! I had four friends round last night to watch the GP, all obviously Poole Supporters and ALL decided that Nicki was in the wrong! even when Mark Loram in the studio basically agreed with what I had said they could still not see that Bjarne had tried to stop Nicki! Oh the fun that is speedway!

Nicki saw a gap and went for it and unfortunatly Bjarne came off! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> no you are correct he did not fence Bjarni the only reason being is because he came under him so hard he took the bike and and he hit the floor! Dekker
.........and that they would not be able even 'to turn left' if they were stuck on a speedway bike........ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Time to throw this old trout in the bin Jim, totally irrelavent. It's a professional sport and as such the riders know what that means, if theyre happy enough to take money for riding and the like then the fans have every right to comment or boo within reason. mark cox
This was a GP that started off being tame and incident free, on a seemingly slick track, and built up to a brilliant climax, with some awesome racing, and ended up one the best GP's of recent years. Adams rode well, but didn't have the luck of the last GP, whilst Crumpy wasn't dominant, but saved his best till last, and Trick was his usual brilliant self. It really is great to have these brilliant racers really putting in total effort for our entertainment. If Scotty is ''hopeless'' then lets have more of his hopeless hanging on for dear life as he nearly beat Crumpy. Possibly the race of the night. JIROUT
"Nicholls: Pretty hopeless really" Subdei Fantastic.......that is very funny.....you didnt even spot that Hancock didnt get in the semis...You must have been on the drink mate...especially as in an ironic twist Scott would have been in the semis had Lindback been rightfully excluded As for Nicki....desperation move.....in my opinion.....which is fine as long as he dosent mind them moves being made on him...which surely one day they will jaybea
MrwulfAndrew
The criticism of scotty nicholls is undeserved. He never seems to get much luck on the big occasion, tries his hardest and he will start getting results soon. As for nicki i cant beleive there are people sticking up for him. It was disgraceful and how long before somebody gets seriously injured. Thing is he doesnt care, you could tell from his cheesy grin at the end. People are saying there was a gap and everything but lets face it if bjarne wasnt there then nicki would have went straight into he fence so there was no passing oportunity. Look again at how far he was behind and bjarne did not slow down. Nicki was just totally out of control as he ALWAYS is. Tony was brilliant and felt sorry for him after the terminator had stopped any chance of him taking his second gp. However what a ride by crump in the final. Its always brilliant to watch riders like crump and tony at the top of thier game....roll on round
