smartie
Thought I would let everyone know that Hampel has broken his thumb after a nasty crash with in form Andreas Jonsson... Andreas was bruised and battered but seemed ok and won Heat 15...

Champion
Well, Jarek's thumb isn't exactly broken but it is said that he's out of speedway for about ten days (so bye bye the nearest GP also )
tarabanko
Jarek Hampel has snapped his ligament in his left thumb and will not take part in the Gp on saturday. Thats the news, its not official yet.. Jarek will undergo a operation i Sweden to repair his ligament. In the Crash so did Andreas Jonsson hurt one of his shoulders but should ride on saturday. / Mikael Johnsson

Champion
Anyone knows if Hampel will be in the Krsko GP, or will he still not be fit ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Probably still not fit (almost for sure)...
garf
Probably still not fit (almost for sure)... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks Champ ! Sad to hear that, but at least KB will benefit from it then. It is always sad to hear about riders injuries. Luckily it is only his thumb, and not his head or spine.
Dicey
Hampel rode for Kaparna in Sweden on Tuesday so i see no reason why he won't ride in slovenia

Chris
R/R was used for Hampel on Tuesday. Maybe the other website put his R/R score next to his name.
Champion
No, i'm not wrong. This link may be wrong or the speedway star may be wrong ?Check it out http://www.speedwayworld.tv/en/swedishleag...ct/s31d10052005 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's impossible becouse Jarek's thumb was operated right after the accident and Jarek isn't just able to ride.So I'm 100% sure that Jarek hasn't been racing anywhere since his crash at Sweden - no matter what speedwayworld.tv or any other site writes Moreover, there's a short news about Jarek at Sportowefakty.pl and Jarek says: "To be honest I don't think there are any chances for me to ride at Krsko. There is an expert in Goeteborg who can make a special covering for my thumb making me able to ride, but is there any sense doing this ? Maybe I would score some points but falling and hitting this thumb again could be tragic for it" (not a perfect translation ;p)
Subedei
At the end of the day, missing 2 GPs means it's going to be difficult for him to secure automatic qualification for next season. But BSI and the FIM have a history of taking into consideration injuries when deciding the seedings and Hampel is probably secure for next season. I don't see a point in him risking further injury to be honest.
