This Gp Track Is Rubbish

Recommended Posts

First of all Rickardsson was very fast tonight and no one could touch him but that was only 1 GP out of 9, I remember last year when Adams won the first GP everyone was saying it was Adams year.

All it takes is one bad semi final and it could be all over.

I think the commentators think it's 'hard but fair' if it's anyone else but 'dirty riding' if it's Nicki Pedersen. Tony's move on 1st bend with Lindback was exactly the same as Nicki's move on Crump.  New GP, same old bias.

Well done to Trick, deserved his win, Lindback also excellent tonight.

What a load of rubbish. The difference is Rickardsson nver touched Lindback in the final whereas Pedersen clattered into the side of 3 riders as he always does. Not same old bias, same old Pedersen, same old supporters sticking up for him too.

Everyone is talking about Nicki P's move on Crumpie. IMO hard but fair riding but what about Nicki's move on Hancock. Sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me when I saw him hit him going into the bend. Fair play to Greg for staying on the bike cos if he'd have gone down Mr.Steele would surely have exculded Nicki P...

Exactly. Crump is a pro and doesn't go down like a ton of bricks, he gets on and tries to beat the riders on the track fair and square. He might have had the odd lapse over the years, but nobody could accuse him of whinging about either of the two incidents with Nicky Pedersen this week.

That said, speedway is not a contact sport, so refs should have a clear mandate to prevent nudges and similar race tactics for the safety of all, no matter who the perpetrator.

Andy where did you buy your Rose tinted specs!

For fair riding look no further than Greg Hancock, Just watched it on tape and Crump was very hard with similar moves in his first and last rides. A similar move by Niki and all hell would have broken loose. IMO not a lot of differance between the two of them. Double standards in my opinion! (then I am not a crump fan).

Well my little lad has gone off to Charlton/Manchester United a happy little lad after the result last night.

I agree one bad semi and it could be all over but the difference though is TRicks' won a few more World Championships, so this more than likely wont be his first and last GP win this season

Don't count on it, he didn't last year....

No Mark was not riding for Arena at the time!

Mark is a World champ riding for arena, as is Gary Haverlock!

but not an Arena World Champion!

Neither is Rickardsson.

We shall claim an oxford World Champ from pedersen in 2003 then

Returned from the SGP last night and I gotta tell ya, who ever stayed home saved a few quid and didn't miss much, the 20 euros wans't worth the crappy racing. The outside wasn't going at all untill the last 3 or 4 heats, which made it harder for guys like gollob and nicki to pass.Trick is in his own league, Lindback is also looking very promising, this is the second time I saw him in person and have to say this guy has predisposition to race speedway.

ps. the track was total rubbish, I hate concrete-hard tracks, they take away from what speedway is all about. Now I'm to LEszno..cya!

Agree Tony was superb last night, but if you go back to the 1st Grand Prix of 2003 he done exactly the same thing and blew everyone away that night, all the reports on sky and the speedway star were "who is going to finish 2nd in the championship"

World Champion 2003 = Nicki Pedersen
